Juniper Networks to Help Companies Transform Their Network Infrastructure at GITEX

Channel Post speaks to Samer Kudsi, the Enterprise Sales Director for MENA at Juniper Networks, about the company’s plans for GITEX.

Are you participating at GITEX Technology Week this year? If so, what are your plans and theme for the event this year?
Yes, Juniper Networks will be participating at GITEX Technology Week again this year. Our aim is to demonstrate how organizations in the region can drive business success by transforming their network infrastructure with the help of our innovative product portfolios across security, data centers and cloud solutions, aligning with the event theme of “Re-imagining Realities”.

This will be accomplished via live demonstrations at the Juniper Networks booth (CLD 8) in Hall 6, including our new security offerings with Sky Advanced Threat Prevention, a cloud-based service that delivers a dynamic anti-malware solution and is integrated with the SRX Series Firewalls. These offer high performance security with advanced threat intelligence, delivered on the industry’s most scalable and resilient platform. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see demonstrations of Juniper’s Security Director, which is a scalable and responsive network security management application.

What technology and market trends have you seen this year in the Middle East market?
One of the major trends we have witnessed is that companies in the Middle East have made significant investments towards disruptive technologies in order to transform their businesses. IT spending in the region is expected to touch $212.9 billion in 2016, according to Gartner. Within the networking sector in the region, the three ordering zithromax online biggest trends this year are: Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and within that, automation.

The Middle East has increasingly become information-driven and connected, and user expectations have become more demanding and immediate. More enterprises are embracing new age technologies leading to an upward trend in cloud adoption. However, these digitization efforts put pressure on the existing network infrastructure.
Using technologies such as NFV and SDN will allow the network to cope with the added services demand and satiate the need for extreme agility. It effectively reduces equipment costs and power consumption by consolidating existing tools and increasing the time to market by minimizing the typical production cycles for network-based services.

How does GITEX Technology Week fit into your overall regional strategies?
GITEX Technology Week, now in its 36th edition, is a landmark regional event for the MENA technology industry and has grown significantly in its calibre in the past few years. Juniper Networks has been participating at GITEX Technology Week for many years now, and we’ve consistently seen that it serves as a great platform for us to connect with both our existing and potential customers and partners across a variety of industry verticals in the region.

The return on investment gained through our participation is highly valuable as it provides the ideal scenario for new business opportunities and positive exposure for Juniper Networks. We are excited about what is to come, and look forward to building upon the success of previous editions.
