Review: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition

The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition is a graphics card that is sandwiched between the entry level GTX 1050 and the mid-range GTX 1060. That makes the GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition a very affordable solution for all aspiring desktop gamers, who are building their rigs on a strict budget. Coming in at a very affordable price of AED 635 this graphics card packs in 4GB of DDR5 memory and features a Display Port, HDMI and DVI-D ports.


The GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition is based on the latest graphics architecture from Nvidia. The GTX 1050 Ti oOC Edition offers gamers the opportunity to take advantage of gaming at 1080p, all at the same time offering good amount of overall performance. The ZOTAC GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition comes in a super compact form factor. It combines the small footprint with PCI Express bus power and offers an capability of overclocking the GPU by up to 8 percent.


The ZOTAC GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition features 768 CUDA cores, a clock rate of 1209MHz, 128-bit memory bus, a memory speed of 7Gbps and a VRam of 4GB GDDR5. While overall, Nvidia reduced lots of features on the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, the card should be able to run most games. However, don’t expected 4K or 60FPS gaming from the card, since it is mainly aimed at the entry-level gaming market.


ZOTAC is known for selling pre-overclocked graphics cards. This is no different with the GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition. The company has bumped the clock rate from the standard 1290 MHz to 1392 MHz. That reprsents an increased clock rate of 102 MHz, which will give the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition an advantage over other GeForce GTX 1050 Ti cards available on the market.


The ZOTAC GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition uses two 70mm cooling fans and this solution offered us with low-noise operation, during our tests. We ran a couple of benchmarks to gauge the performance of the card. In 3DMark 11 (DX11), we were able to clock a score of 3467. That sort of a score isn’t earth shattering, simply because the card is meant for entry-level gaming performance.

In 3DMark V2 – Firestrike (DX11), the ZOTAC GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition scored 6784 points, while on 3DMark v2 – Time Spy (DX12) the card scored 2409 points. In Cinebench R15, the GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition clocked 132.19 fps in OpenGL tests.

Overall, the performance of the GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition was quite consistent across the board. If you’re on the market for an entry-level graphics card for gaming, you might want to consider the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition. The card packs in a small footprint, offers value for money performance, supports overclocking, and comes in at a very attractive price point.
