Secureworks Launches its MDR Solution in the Middle East

Secureworks has  announced the availability of its Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META). Secureworks’ MDR addresses three of the top challenges experienced by in-house security teams today: a lack of visibility across the organisation’s whole environment, too much complexity from uncoordinated security tools, and not enough context to respond quickly and appropriately to cybersecurity threats.

The MDR solution combines several Secureworks’ advanced threat services to form a comprehensive security approach that keeps clients safe across their endpoints, network, and cloud deployments. Central to the solution is Secureworks Red Cloak endpoint detection and response tool. Developed by the Secureworks Counter Threat Unit (CTU) research team, Red Cloak provides an always-on warning system by leveraging Secureworks’ extensive threat hunting experience, the supervised machine learning capabilities of Secureworks Counter Threat Platform and a vast pool of expertise in the company’s Security Operations Centres. MDR clients are also covered by Secureworks’ well-accredited Incident Response Team, which leverages Secureworks intelligence to execute more than 900 engagements a year.

Priced according to an organisation’s size by number of employees, the MDR solution will help clients in the region to easily scale their cybersecurity programs to protect their ever-expanding IT infrastructure and provide a predictable model with no upcharge for the number or volume of logs. “We have expanded the availability of our MDR solution to continue to provide our customers in the key META region with our latest and technology and services. Customers will now benefit from an added layer of protection by leveraging not only of the expertise of Secureworks specialists, but also technology such as AETD Red Cloak, which sweeps endpoints for forensic evidence of malicious activity while continuously collecting information about what is happening on the device. The MDR solution allows us to pinpoint real security threats and provide clients with the opportunity to promptly remediate threats,” said Mahmoud Mounir, Senior Regional Director of Secureworks MEA.
