A few days ago, gaming accessories major Corsair, announced the new M65 RGB Ultra Wireless gaming mouse on the market. The company sent us a review unit to test out its prowess and we are glad to report, it performed exceptionally well.
The Corsair M65 RGB Ultra Wireless tunable gaming mouse comes packed in an alluminium frame and offers two ways to get wirelessly connected to your gaming PC or laptop. You can choose from either the sub-1ms Corsair Slipstream Wireless or through Bluetooth.
The accuracy of the gaming mouse is powered by a 26,000-dpi Marksman optical sensor and optical Omron switches.
You also get a six-axis gyro, which allows for ultra-low lift-off detection. You also get help from its 2000Hx hyper-polling that lets you perform actions two times faster than traditional wireless mice.
Just like its wired M65 RGB Ultra sibling, the M65 RGB Ultra Wireless also comes with six removable weights.
These are split into four sections such as internal weight, external weight, both, or neither. In addition to shifting the weight from 110 grams up to 128 grams, the weights are also distributed to adjust the center of gravity.
You also get eight programmable buttons on the M65 RGB Ultra Wireless, which is perfect for those who would like to customise their gaming mice to perfection.
In addition to the left-click and right-click, you also have access to the forward and back thumb buttons, up and down DPI adjustment, and the thumb sniper button, which is an iconic feature on the M65 range of gaming mice.
As mentioned earlier, for wireless connectivity, you can either use Corsair’s Slipstream wireless technology or Bluetooth.
You can toggle between them on the bottom of the mouse, as per your usage pattern. In terms of battery life, Corsair claims the M65 RGB Ultra Wireless offers up to 120 hours without the RGB lighting when using Bluetooth and 90 hours when using Slipstream.
What’s more, the mouse also automatically sleeps after 15 minutes of idle time. It is also good to know that Corsair has added a USB Type-C port for the charging functionality.
Corsair’s iCue software meanwhile, allows you to customise the RGB lighting and change button assignments, including mapping macro functions to any of the buttons.
Once you have everything set, you can even store your settings such as DPI, lighting, and macro profile on the mouse to use it without having to use iCue.
For a price of $129.99, the Corsair M65 RGB Ultra Wireless is one of the best gaming mice out there on the market. The build quality is excellent, it offers good performance, optical switches, a massive battery, and USB-C connectivity for charging. The Corsair M65 RGB Ultra Wireless tunable gaming mouse, thus, comes across as highly recommended.
