Are you participating in GITEX 2021? If yes, which products and solutions will you be showcasing at GITEX Technology Week?
du is participating at the 41st GITEX Technology Week to showcase its latest next-generation 5G solutions and technologies. Innovative showcases include 5G Smart Grid, 5G Smart Mining and 5G Smart Policing. During the event, visitors will gain deeper and broader knowledge about 5G use cases and reap the benefits of digital transformation.
GITEX 2021 will provide the ideal platform to showcase du’s 5G innovations to empower key government entities in their digital transformation journey.
What are your expectations from the event this year?
We hope to help visitors delve deeper into industry verticals that are prominent in the region and offer clear opportunities for 5G use cases. For the smart grid demo, we will share best practices that were launched in China South Grid, and emulated cases to demonstrate 5G’s ability to improve operational efficiency and reduce cost.
The 5G smart mining demo will demonstrate how technology can improve mining safety and production efficiency through remote mining, automatic transportation, and unmanned operation processes. Finally, the smart policing demo will highlight security applications such as Auto patrol, AR glass, Drones, and 4K CCTV.
What will be your theme of participation at GITEX?
Our theme this year is “5G in the public sector – The future of hyperconnected government services” through which du will act as a disruptive force humanizing 5G technology to empower the UAE public sector through a simplified approach to digital transformation. The theme is designed to fulfill three key objectives:
Transform government operations with a digital citizen-resident-visitor first approach: Providing access to real-time information from any location or device to first responders, law enforcement, utilities, and transport providers.
Improve public infrastructure: du will play an integral role in the implementation of hyper-connected smart communities in the UAE.
Act as a force multiplier for other new and innovative technologies: du is utilizing innovative technologies such as AI and multi-access edge and cloud computing to transform the service provider of public services.
How have your regional strategies changed in recent months?
Exploring and harnessing the latest technologies to drive innovation, accelerate digital transformation, and deliver a digitally inclusive future through customer and society-centric benefits is among our topmost priorities at du.
As industry leaders, we utilise our resources to pursue the possibilities and potential that accompany the new digital era and facilitate sustained development.
