Trackimo Sees GCC Playing a Significant Role in Shaping the $5 Billion Tracking Devices Industry

Trackimo has stated that UAE and wider GCC countries could play a significant role within the IoT GPS tracking devices industry.  As per reports, the global GPS tracking devices industry is expected to touch $5 billion by 2028. Trackimo’s cellular-based end-to-end IoT solution allows people and businesses to stay connected to each other and to their belongings through real-time location tracking. The company is showcased some of the world’s most unique tracking devices at Gitex this year.

“We strongly believe that several vertical industries in the GCC region can strongly benefit by deploying the right GPS tracking solutions to increase their efficiencies. For instance, our fleet management tracking solutions provide real-time asset monitoring and protection of high-value and remote assets, increasing accountability, efficiency, responsiveness, safety, and savings. Furthermore, this kind of monitoring framework will make the trade between GCC countries more profitable, safe, and efficient,” stated Shai Bar-Lavi, CEO of Trackimo.

“Trackimo provides an added layer of protection by incorporating its technology with features like direct communication to first-responders, real-time location tracking, customized safe zones and alerts when vehicles enter or leave them, speed monitoring, analytical data, and driver behaviour insights,” the company said. At GITEX this year, Trackimo launched ‘NickWatch by Nickelodeon’, the first connected smartwatch for children featuring the loveable characters, games, and content from Nickelodeon.

The NickWatch harnesses Trackimo’s advanced IoT technology centered on real-time location tracking and motion sensors via a dedicated mobile application. The company also launched a unique V16 emergency LED flashlight for vehicles that alerts their surroundings when in distress. The emergency LED flashlight combines Trackimo’s IoT technology and is a simple and handy safety solution for both emergencies and daily use that provides peace of mind to drivers at all times.

This device aims to be a very useful tool for any kind of vehicle-related emergencies on GCC roads and it is visible within a 1KM radius and has 360-degree visibility, both during the day and at night. “Safety and peace of mind for our clients is what guides our thoughts and efforts. The company’s advanced proprietary technology is backed by its range of tracking devices that are equipped with a unique chipset supporting an all-in-one 2G/3G/4G/Cat-M1 (fallback) as well as Wi-Fi and BLE connection that can carry any SIM card,” added Amit Shaked, Chief Operating Officer, Trackimo.

Trackimo also launched another unique product during the show, which is an ‘Evil Eye’ amulet embedded with GPS tracking technology. This smart device uses four types of tracking technology to ensure independent and precise real-time global location – Cellular, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. “Another product that we showcased at Gitex this year is our ‘battery tracker’. This product transforms any industrial battery into a smart one with our customized embedded module that fits directly onto the battery itself. The module provides an added layer of performance and location monitoring featuring Trackimo’s classic features such as real-time global location tracking, geofence zone configuration and alerts, speed monitoring, and more. Additionally, the battery tracker’s enhanced features allow monitoring the unit’s environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, low-battery alerts, remote shut down, and more. This product plays a significant role in personal mobility vehicles such as e-bikes, e-scooters, e-motorcycles; mobile industrial tools, and more,” concluded Amit.
