Michele Montecchio, the General Manager for Acer Middle East, speaks about his company’s plans for GITEX Global 2022
Do you plan to run any online engagements such as webinars and offline engagements such as tech talks, demos, keynotes, and so on, alongside GITEX?
Coinciding with GITEX, we host our annual Acer Partner Week where we invite and host partners including distributors, retailers, IT, and education partners from around the region. We use this opportunity to discuss business updates, and market trends and exchange ideas – while also providing demos of some of our latest products.
As an added bonus, guests at Acer Partner Week will get a preview of brand-new products – so stay tuned! This year, we’ll also be hosting an experiential event around the Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition, which is an incredible 3D gaming laptop.
How have your regional strategies changed in recent months?
We haven’t had any change to our regional strategies as we have continued to prioritize launching high-tech innovative products in the region and focusing on sustainability.
An example of our best-in-class technology is our Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition, which introduces for the first time 3D gaming without the need for extra devices such as glasses to see the 3D content come to life from a flat screen.
On the other hand, our product Acer Vero showcases our commitment to a sustainable future. With a commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG), we launched the Earthion program in 2021 and began working closely with suppliers and partners to bring eco-friendly initiatives into its supply chain ecosystem, with its primary focus on energy, product design, packaging design, production, logistics, and recycling.
As a manifestation of such efforts, Acer’s Vero line of eco-conscious devices was launched in 2021 to offer consumers greener options. Vero products intend to incorporate eco-friendly and recycled materials and are designed to extend their lifespans to reduce material consumption and reduce overall waste.
