Jeff Jacob, the Regional Sales Lead for Commercial Business – Open Platform Business Group (OPBG) at ASUS Middle East, says that there is momentum in the public and private sectors to restart digital transformation projects
Are you participating in GITEX Global 2022? If yes, which products and solutions will you be showcasing at the event?
We are participating in Gitex Global 2022 along with our Client Computing Division, Systems Business Group. The products and solutions being showcased on the ASUS stand will be more of the commercial-centric client computing portfolio such as laptops, mini PCs, Chromeboxes, monitors/display solutions such as the ProArt Series, IOT Mini PCs, and so on. Our GPU Centric Server/Workstation portfolio will be showcased at our partner booths which are present on a big scale this year. We have our Distribution partners who would be displaying our GPU-centric solutions like our servers and workstations catering to the HPC and AI domain. This year we would also be showcasing an IoT solution at one of our semi-government-owned solution partners.
What are your expectations from the event this year?
Finally, mankind can heave a sigh of relief with even the WHO declaring recently that the pandemic is nearing its end. In the region, we are seeing a lot of momentum and urgency both in the public sector as well as the private sector in restarting digital transformation projects, Digitisation initiatives, which were on the backburner due to the pandemic. The hybrid work mode is being adopted by organizations in a big way since the pandemic has taught employers the world over that productivity increases with the flexibility of the hybrid work mode. At Gitex this year We hope to see visitors being spoilt for choice with the plethora of solutions that will be showcased by ASUS as well as our partners enabling our new hybrid world.
What will be your theme of participation at GITEX?
This year our theme will be once again to showcase our portfolio which covers a wide spectrum of client computing devices like business-grade laptops, desktops, and displays to high-end data Center grade Servers and GPU centric Computing powered Servers both at our stand as well as our partner stands. Clearly reflecting the ASUS motto of “In search of Incredible”. At Nvidia’s showcase event GTC earlier this year, we gave a glimpse of what’s in store. ASUS is in line to accommodate both the Omniverse Enterprise subscription and Omniverse individual users. NVIDIA-Certified ASUS servers and workstations with NVIDIA RTX GPUs in the near future will support NVIDIA Omniverse Enterprise to build a solid foundation to deploy across organizations of any scale.
Do you plan to run any online engagements such as webinars and offline engagements such as tech talks, demos, keynotes, and so on, alongside GITEX?
Recently as part of ASUS’s increasing presence in the Enterprise computing space, have beefed up our in-house expertise in the AI and HPC space. The Enterprise sales team we have assembled have been stalwarts in the Ai & HPC with a combined experience of a couple of decades. Customers, Partners can meet our Ai &HPC team at both our stand and our partner stands during the event. We look forward to this Gitex as an exciting opportunity to make our mark in the ever-burgeoning “new Omniverse”.
How have your regional strategies changed in recent months?
We would continue to carry on in the segments we have broken through namely the HPC space in education, surveillance, video analytics, and data analytics. In addition, we intend to promote the “Powered by ASUS” initiative at one of our partner booths to encourage DIY builds with the assured promise of quality and stability of ASUS components. With our expanded Enterprise sales team we intend to increase our coverage of most of GCC. Our partners have also started hosting demo Servers to enable customers/partners to test the ASUS Server portfolio either physically or remotely.
