GITEX Global 2022: Tenable to Throw the Spotlight on its Continuous Exposure Management Platform

Maher Jadallah, the Senior Director for the Middle East and North Africa at Tenable, says his company wants to show what constitutes the modern attack surface
Are you participating in GITEX Global 2022? If yes, which products and solutions will you be showcasing at the event?
At Tenable, we always look for opportunities to meet new and existing customers and partners while also networking with our peers. GITEX provides the perfect opportunity to do just that. We will be co-exhibiting with our partners, AmiViz from booth H1-A1 and Ingram Micro from booth H3-D30booth, with the team offering technical demonstrations of our continuous exposure management platform, including Tenable.io, Tenable.sc, Tenable.ot, Tenable.ad and Tenable Lumin.
What are your expectations from the event this year?
Tech shows, such as GITEX, allow us to have impactful conversations and discuss the most effective ways for organisations to navigate and reduce cyber risk in the digital era. We look forward to meeting and interacting with both existing and potential customers, catching up with our partners, and making new relationships with organisations whose security stance aligns with our own.
What will be your theme of participation at GITEX?
It’s an exciting time in Dubai as the region recovers post-Covid, with the UAE economy expanding strongly. Organisations are looking to invest in technology that will help them capitalise on opportunities and deliver increased functionality.
However, against this backdrop we’ve also seen a dramatic uptick in ransomware attacks, nation-state-sponsored threats, and a flood of new vulnerabilities that leave organisations exposed. From a security perspective, security teams need to be able to anticipate and defend against emerging threats and cyber attacks, whilst communicating those risks for decision support. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to help visitors to GITEX better understand and defend the modern attack surface.
Do you plan to run any online engagements such as webinars and offline engagements such as tech talks, demos, keynotes, and so on, alongside GITEX?
At GITEX 2022, we want to help organisations appreciate what constitutes the modern attack surface. Our team will be on hand to help visitors understand how they can focus their efforts to prevent likely attacks, and accurately communicate exposure risk to their business partners to improve performance cross-functionally. We will be offering demonstrations of our exposure management platform, including Tenable.io, Tenable.sc, Tenable.ot, Tenable.ad, and Tenable Lumin.
How have your regional strategies changed in recent months?
When we think of traditional network security, the goal is to fortify the perimeter to prevent threats outside of the network from getting in. However, the way we work today means this approach is no longer feasible. A reactive firefighting approach to cybersecurity puts defenders at a major disadvantage.
Instead, security executives and practitioners need to be able to translate technical asset, vulnerability, and threat data into clear business insights and actionable intelligence to make better decisions and ultimately prevent attacks.
