GITEX Global 2022: Red Hat to Throw the Spotlight on Open Hybrid Cloud

Adrian Pickering, the Regional General Manager for MENA at Red Hat, speaks about his company’s participation at GITEX Global 2022

Are you participating in GITEX Global 2022? If yes, which products and solutions will you be showcasing at the event?
GITEX Technology Week is the ideal platform for technology pioneers like Red Hat to introduce future innovations that will shape the things to come. This year will see Red Hat showcase several products and solutions set to empower communities of customers and clients in their respective digital migration journeys. These include the latest, most influential solutions across the hybrid cloud, edge computing, automation, digital transformation, and Kubernetes native, and Red Hat looks forward to informing and inspiring all who visit throughout the event’s duration.

We use a community-powered approach to reliable and high-performing cloud, Linux, middleware, storage, and virtualization technologies. Red Hat also offers award-winning support, training, and consulting services. As the connective hub in a global network of enterprises, partners, and open-source communities, Red Hat helps create relevant, innovative technologies that liberate resources for growth and prepare customers for the future of IT.

What are your expectations from the event this year?
Red Hat is setting the standard for what hybrid cloud can be and do, and with a flexible portfolio to help companies take the next defining step for their industry. Red Hat will outline the vast benefits and capabilities that these innovations offer, as well as subject matter experts in various industries, including telecommunications, financial services, and healthcare. A key aim is to increase awareness of Red Hat’s open hybrid cloud solutions and showcase the impact of its portfolio through verticals with the end goal of driving demand in the region.

What will be your theme of participation at GITEX?
Only an open approach to hybrid cloud infrastructure can give companies the flexibility and freedom they need to unlock the full potential of edge computing. As Red Hat continues to be an enabler of change and better meet the needs of the global communications industry, we are evolving our approach to accelerate our commitment to being the number one hybrid cloud partner.

As the world’s leading provider of open source software solutions, we aim to meet with and bring together influential stakeholders from all of the business sectors that Red Hat addresses to discuss their growth strategies and define ambitious objectives in the decade ahead.

Do you plan to run any online engagements such as webinars and offline engagements such as tech talks, demos, keynotes, and so on, alongside GITEX?
We are proud of our long-standing association with the event, which is a focal point for the majority of regional technology users. We also attend GITEX because the event is a comprehensive platform for showcasing and experiencing the future. As such, we are looking forward to demonstrating how open source will benefit the enterprise community in the months and years ahead.

Additionally, we plan to introduce new innovations to the market, network with new and existing clients and interact with industry personnel and representatives from public and private sector organisations across the region. We are also looking forward to interacting with our customers through both virtual pre-booked meetings with our team and on-site bookings that are available for detailed product deep dives.

How have your regional strategies changed in recent months?
Open hybrid cloud is Red Hat’s recommended strategy for architecting, developing, and operating a hybrid mix of applications, delivering a truly flexible cloud experience with the speed, stability, and scale required for digital business transformation. Looking ahead, the importance of technology and deploying those with the capabilities to meet requirements for an array of sectors will only increase.

Therefore, we are experiencing greater demand for open-source software. Widespread digital transformation is driving our presence and influence in several areas of IT technology development across different sectors, and the open-source software and solutions we provide will continue to drive sustainability and success for enterprises moving forward.
