What sort of market and tech trends do you foresee for the African market?
Africa is the next digital growth frontier, thanks to a combination of key factors and market fundamentals. The continent’s digital economy is growing at an enviable rate and is expected to reach $712 billion by 2050, by which it will be home to a third of the world’s young population. Moreover, one in six of the world’s internet users will be in Africa in 2025. The technology landscape in Africa is undoubtedly primed for success, prompting a growing number of investors to turn their attention to the continent.
Tell us about your participation at GITEX Africa. What will be your theme of participation?
We are excited to be in Marrakech and participate in GITEX Africa, which is one of the most eagerly-awaited tech events on the continent this year. As a leading global brand in memory and storage solutions, Lexar will be showcasing our next-generation product portfolio at the event, from our stand 4C-35, located at the Central Aisle.
Which products and solutions will you be showcasing?
GITEX Africa 2023 presents an ideal platform for us to showcase our award-winning product range that is designed to specifically meet the unique needs of African consumers. Over the years, Lexar has built a reputation for offering world-class products that are synonymous with performance and reliability. What is your expectation from the inaugural GITEX Africa event?
GITEX Africa 2023 is one of the most important events for the African technology industry. Lexar’s participation at this much-anticipated event complements our long-term strategic vision to meet the growing demand for technologically superior storage and memory products across the continent. We expect GITEX Africa to provide a perfect platform for us to showcase our extensive product portfolio, enabling us to strategically grow our market share in Morocco and across Africa.
What sort of activities have you planned around GITEX Africa?
We are launching five next-generation memory and storage solutions within our photography, videography, and gaming categories at GITEX Africa. These products are designed to enable photography and videography professionals and enthusiasts to get their best shot while allowing gamers to play at their peak without worrying about load times, stuttering graphics, or game lag.
How will you use the event to strengthen your presence in the African market?
The inaugural edition of GITEX Africa promises to be opportunities abound for exhibitors from across the region. Lexar looks forward to developing strategic engagements, building connections, and meeting with key stakeholders from the African tech ecosystem. Given the excellent potential of the African market, riding on fundamental factors such as the rapid technology adoption and its young population, this is an opportune time for us to build our presence in major African countries including Morocco where we already have a meaningful presence.
