Huawei to Show Off its Latest Innovations at GITEX 2024
Leo Chen, the Corporate Senior Vice President and President of Enterprise Sales at Huawei, says the company will be hosting the Industrial Digital and Intelligent Transformation Summit, which promises to be a highlight of the event
Can you tell us about Huawei’s participation in GITEX 2024? What products and solutions will you be showcasing?
From October 14-18, Huawei will transform its 1,400-square-meter space in Hall 22 of the Dubai World Trade Centre into an immersive showcase of its latest innovations. Huawei will meet with industry customers, partners, thought leaders, and technical experts from around the world to discuss important initiatives for the digital and intelligent transformation of industries.
Our exhibition is divided into two key areas. The “Accelerate Industrial Digitalization and Intelligence” zone will demonstrate our cutting-edge solutions across various sectors, including finance, healthcare, energy, and manufacturing. Also on display will be scenario-based solutions for the commercial market and HUAWEI eKit for small- and medium-sized enterprises and partners. Visitors can learn about Huawei’s path to accelerating industries into the intelligent era.
In the “Innovative Digital and Intelligent Infrastructure” area, visitors can explore our state-of-the-art offerings in data communication, all-optical networks, smart campuses, and Huawei Cloud, which are designed to meet the needs of customers at different stages of digital and intelligent transformation. Huawei aims to create a leading digital and intelligent infrastructure by bringing together partners and developers through an open ecosystem.
How has the regional tech landscape evolved in the past couple of years?
AI is becoming the most impactful technology for industries. We have years of experience with our intelligent transformation and have helped a wide range of industries become intelligent, too. Based on this experience, we’ve envisioned the future of intelligent enterprises in the age of AI. We believe that future intelligent enterprises will have six distinct features that we call the six A’s. They will have an Adaptive User Experience, Auto-Evolving Products, Autonomous Operations, an Augmented Workforce, All-Connected Resources, and AI-Native Infrastructure.
Huawei is a crucial partner for Middle Eastern governments and enterprises as they pursue their digital transformation in recent years. We have supported the region as it shifts from traditional industries to an intelligent society defined by smart cities, AI-driven enterprises, and a burgeoning startup ecosystem. Today, the region is seeing a surge in homegrown apps and platforms, from AI-powered edtech solutions to sophisticated fintech services reimagining how people interact with money. The region’s focus on sustainability has also driven innovation in smart grid technologies and AI-optimized renewable energy platforms.

How have your regional strategies changed in recent months?
Our strategies have pivoted to embrace an ‘All Intelligence’ strategy. We’re no longer just talking about connecting devices; we’re infusing intelligence into every aspect of life and business. Our focus has shifted from merely providing infrastructure to orchestrating entire ecosystems of intelligence. We’re diving deep into edge computing, bringing AI capabilities closer to where data is generated. This is crucial for the region’s burgeoning IoT landscape, from smart oil fields to autonomous port operations. We’re also doubling down on AI ethics and responsible innovation, recognizing the unique cultural context of the Middle East.
Our new strategies also promote digital power – using AI to optimize energy consumption and support the region’s ambitious sustainability goals. Meanwhile, the Huawei Pangu AI models bring new capabilities to better predict and mitigate the effects of climate change, a critical concern for this part of the world.
How do your regional strategies align with regional development initiatives run by various governments?
We are well-aligned with broader development goals. As a leading global ICT infrastructure provider, Huawei works with partners to help customers and industries in the region and lay a solid foundation for the intelligent era. Huawei’s vision of bringing digital to every person, home, and organization for a fully connected, intelligent world resonates with many government digital transformation agendas.
Our focus on 5G-Advanced, cloud computing, AI, and digital platforms to help industries and organizations become more agile, efficient, and dynamic aligns with common governmental goals for economic development and improved public services. Furthermore, Huawei’s emphasis on the six A’s of future intelligent enterprises (Adaptive User Experience, Auto-Evolving Products, Autonomous Operations, Augmented Workforce, All-Connected Resources, and AI-Native Infrastructure) provides a framework that can support various government-led digital transformation initiatives.
By showcasing innovative digital and intelligent transformation practices at events like GITEX Global 2024, Huawei is positioning itself as a partner in realizing these governmental visions for a digitally transformed, intelligent future.
