“Worldwide excellence in service experience today constitutes a major factor for customers, and the UAE leads the way. We believe this can become a key brand differentiator, and that in times to come, customers will demand nothing but the very best – both in terms of quality of device and post-sales service levels. Our intention is to raise the industry bar and remain ahead of our competition by addressing this key need,” said David Wang, Country Manager of Huawei Consumer Business Group in the UAE.

Huawei’s Flagship Service Center on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai was opened in 2015. The center, a symbol of Huawei’s commitment to the region, offers after sales services and repairs in addition to showcasing the latest consumer devices from smartphones to wearables.

In the first half of 2016, Huawei claims that it has achieved 60.56 million shipments of products. Huawei Consumer Business Group says it shipped over 100 million smartphones worldwide in 2015, cementing its position as one of the top three consumer device companies in the world.

The global shipments of Huawei smartphones, according to the company, have increased from 3 million in 2010 to 100 million in 2015. At the event, Huawei also showcased the P9 lite with key features including an exquisite design, a superior camera, high fidelity audio, advanced fingerprint sensor technology and a 5.2-inch Full HD display.

The device is aimed at fashion-conscious individuals on the lookout for the perfect digital companion to complement their lifestyle, and is available in three colours – black, white and gold and is available at a competitive price of AED 899.
