InnoVEX To Feature Blockchain in the InnoVEX Forum

InnoVEX will once more host the InnoVEX Forum, where business professionals and industry leaders share their insights on technology trends. One of the speakers for this year will be the co-founder of IOTA, Dominik Schiener. IOTA does not only have a cryptocurrency designed for IoT named MIOTA, its affiliated IOTA Foundation is a non-profit focusing on developing their own IOTA Network.

This January, the IOTA Foundation signed a partnership with Taipei City Government to explore ways how their blockless protocol can be used in Taipei city’s smart city project. In Europe, technology companies such as Fujitsu, Volkswagen, and Bosch had cooperation with IOTA Foundation. With the title Beyond Blockchain,Schiener will cover the usage of IOTA’s solutions in a global society and what it means for the future of machine-to-machine economy. This will surely be an interesting session for enthusiasts, developers, designers, investors, partners, consumers, and the general public.

TCA stated that according to the latest IDC research report (*1), the expenditure on global blockchain application solutions in 2018 will be as high as USD 2.1 billion, more than double the USD 945 million of 2017. In 2021, this number is expected to exceed USD 9.7 Billion in 2021. The CAGR from 2016 to 2021 was calculated to be 81.2%. IDC also pointed out that companies believe that with blockchain and decentralized ledger technologies; they can accelerate the transformation of their businesses and operations and improve their operating efficiency.

By utilizing blockchain, companies hope to be able to prevent security breaches, data leaks, and other forms of cybercrime. At the same time, blockchain is noted to be able to do much more than just record keeping or utilized in the form of cryptocurrency.

With the diverse uses of blockchain, the cloud computing equipment and server system needed are also radically different.
