ECS Shows Off New Mini PCs and Alexa Voice-Activated Headsets at Computex 2018

Reporting from Taipei, Taiwan: Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) is showcasing a new range of mini-PCs and Alexa activated headset through its booth at Nangang Exhibition Center L0418 (4F), Taipei, at Computex Taipei 2018. The company showed off a wide range of solutions for smart home, retail, corporate, education, medical and industrial applications.

ECS launched the new LIVA Q2 mini PC, which is designed to be pocket-sized. With stunning 4K visuals, it allows you to connect to networks anywhere with LAN/Wifi. LIVA Q2 also features a micro SD slot to fit your storage expansion needs. On the other hand, the all-new LIVA Z2/Z2V Mini PC features a fanless design, allowing a high power saving while operating in complete silence. It provides stunning 4K / UHD high-quality playback through the supported ports such as HDMI + D-Sub, and type-C port required for all your devices. With the full function of desktop computing but space-savingly sized design.

Moreover, the family series LIVA ONE/ONE plus mini PC, adopts flexibility of displays output with lightning speed SSD. It comes with powerful desktop-grade CPU, which you can choose to easily upgrade by yourself. LIVA ONE/ONE plus can seamlessly integrate digital content into your everyday life for faster, better and smarter way of living.

ECS also announced its first Alexa voice-activated headset and other voice-controlled devices equipped with AI technology which can unprecedentedly enrich your daily life. The new headset, which is available in two variants – standard and premium – allows you to easily play music, obtain day-to-day information such as news, weather forecast, your own calendar, and much more. “With the smart connection, you can also control the home automation systems and other smart devices under the same circumstance of Wifi setting via voice command freely. Just speak out, relax and enjoy your personal assistant bringing a better way of living to you,” explained Allyson Wang, the Deputy Manager for Channel Marketing at ECS.

ECS also expanded new product lines for smart education solutions. The company announced several new education devices for students and schools at Computex 2018. ECS also showcased the latest education technology innovations and perform the features which are purpose-built for education to create opportunities to make digital learning more experiential.

Students use the stylus to create notes with the greatest precision and practice writing skills with the assistance of the sensitive pen tip, hand-palm rejection, and immaculate responsiveness. With rotatable camera and magnification lens, students can capture images and video to fulfil multimedia projects in STEM. 360-degrees convertible touch screen design makes student gather around the screen and get started. Students can stay involved in what happens on the screen, and every student contributes equally. The CMAP (Content Access Point) provides a reliable connection speed to provide cloud-based services and easy access to digital contents for education leaders and technology coordinators to consider.

ECS also continued the trend towards industrial automation. Thus, it showed off custom motherboards based on different systems and usages. In addition, ECS also launched a rugged tablet FT10 featuring Windows 10 pro operating systems. The 10-inch tablet is specialized for industrial-rugged duty. It is also flexible enough to meet the specific needs of field service.

Its fully rugged and fan-less design is able to endure drop resistant to 120cm and IP65 rated and to meet MIL-STD-810F standards. With hot-swappable batteries, this saves work from being lost, and allows the user to continue working without plugging in/shutting down the computer. The 800 Nits display offers optimal readability in direct sunlight.
