IFS Cloud 25R1 Release Accelerates Industrial AI Adoption

IFS, a provider of enterprise cloud and Industrial AI software, has released new Industrial AI-powered features in its IFS Cloud 25R1 update. This release focuses on Industrial AI and sustainability, incorporating agentic industrial AI capabilities to help customers in asset and service-intensive industries derive value from Industrial AI.

With over 200 AI-based features now available in IFS Cloud, customers can automate workflows and use industrial agents across the asset lifecycle and manufacturing processes, from supply chain improvements to service capabilities.

New capabilities include:

  1. IFS.ai Forecasting and Inventory Replenishment: Helps customers improve demand planning and inventory replenishment for spare parts. It calculates safety stock, reorder points, and optimal lot sizes for parts used in maintenance.
  2. IFS.ai XD Integration and Visualization: Integrates 2D or 3D data into IFS Cloud using AI-powered data mapping. This aims to provide early visibility for proactive decision-making in maintenance and engineering. Technicians can visualize parts in 3D models with maintenance information, while engineering teams get performance data and real-time alerts.
  3. IFS.ai AI Data and Work Generation from Documents: Extracts data and recommendations from third-party contractor maintenance reports to improve follow-up maintenance identification.
  4. IFS.ai Summarized Supply Chain Events: Transforms unstructured data into insights, providing better visibility across supply and production processes.
  5. IFS.ai Copilot for Sales Quotation: Aims to improve customer service, increase sales through better recommendations, and boost revenue by reducing order errors and improving productivity.
  6. IFS.ai Copilot for Shipment Order: Aims to improve supply chain by automating freight selection, enhancing sales team productivity, and improving customer services.
  7. IFS.ai Copilot for Customer Order: Enhances supply chain analysis by using AI to summarize important events related to orders. This aims to provide insights and speed up decision-making for better service and communication.
  8. IFS.ai Operation Time Prediction: Uses AI/ML to predict shop order operation times and identify potential delay risks, aiming to improve operational efficiency and reduce delay costs.
  9. IFS.ai Emissions Management: Supports Scope 1 and 2 emissions management and reporting in IFS Cloud, allowing customers to calculate emissions and track progress using over 160,000 verified emissions factors through a partnership with Climatiq.

Christian Pedersen, Chief Product Officer, IFS, commented, “IFS’s ability to deliver AI in the industrial setting is rooted in solving real, complex industrial challenges. IFS.ai isn’t speculative; it’s already helping the world’s largest industrial companies navigate and lead at a time where supply chains and production have been challenged. The company’s consistent growth and increasing number of real-world AI capabilities show the enduring value to customers who are choosing IFS over monolithic giants due to our specialized focus, inherent agentic capabilities, and agile integration of AI advancements.”

“This targeted approach allows us to offer tailored solutions that align closely with the unique challenges and requirements of these complex industries. This is embodied by the new features available in 25R1. Our mission is to power the next industrial revolution with AI, and I am proud of the impactful advancements we are bringing to customers in 25R1,” he added.
