Acronis to Unveil Cyber Clinic at GITEX 2025 to Tackle IT Security Challenges

At GITEX 2025, Acronis Middle East is transforming its presence with the Acronis Cyber Clinic, an interactive hub designed to diagnose IT vulnerabilities and offer tailored solutions. General Manager, Ziad Nasr, discusses the company’s flagship Cyber Protect Cloud platform, a new partnership with Cybergate, and the rising demand for integrated cyber protection amid a 197% surge in email-based attacks, as highlighted in Acronis’ latest Cyberthreats Report.

Tell us about your participation at GITEX 2025. How does this year’s presence differ from previous editions?
Our participation this year takes a very different shape. Instead of a traditional stand, we’re unveiling the Acronis Cyber Clinic, built around the theme “Take the headache out of IT security.” The clinic is designed to feel like a diagnostic space where businesses can uncover weaknesses across their IT environments and walk away with tailored remedies. This shift marks a more interactive and solution-oriented approach compared to previous editions, and it reflects our belief that enterprises in the region need practical, hands-on guidance to navigate today’s complex threat landscape.

Which flagship products, solutions, or innovations will you be spotlighting at the event, and what makes them relevant to today’s tech challenges?
At the heart of our showcase is Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, which combines endpoint protection, backup, disaster recovery, patch management, and XDR into a single, integrated platform. With threats growing in both scale and sophistication, enterprises are under pressure to simplify their security operations without compromising on resilience. That’s exactly what this platform delivers: an easier, more cost-efficient way to keep environments protected, even during major disruptions. Alongside this, we’re also focusing on disaster recovery, demonstrating how cross-border and multi-cloud recovery options can keep businesses up and running during regional outages, a challenge many local enterprises are acutely aware of.

Will you be unveiling any new partnerships, launches, or strategic announcements during GITEX?
Yes. In alignment with Cybersecurity Month, we will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Cybergate. This collaboration is significant because it extends our impact beyond enterprises to the wider community, particularly the education sector. Together, we’ll deliver joint go-to-market activities and introduce initiatives such as Security Awareness Training, Disaster Recovery, and Advanced Management. By combining forces, we’ll help strengthen resilience at multiple levels.

What emerging trends or technologies are you seeing gain traction in the Middle East?
We are seeing a strong appetite for integrated approaches to cyber protection, with enterprises no longer treating backup, security, and disaster recovery as separate domains. This is partly driven by the rise in highly targeted attacks. Our most recent Cyberthreats Report, for example, highlighted a 197% increase in email-based attacks in H2 2024 compared to the previous year, with a 21% increase in the number of attacks per organisation. This surge has put email security and automation in the spotlight, alongside disaster recovery, which is increasingly seen as essential to maintain business continuity in the face of such relentless threats.

What kind of interactive experiences—such as live demos, immersive showcases, or hands-on labs—can visitors expect at your booth this year?
The Acronis Cyber Clinic is all about interaction. Visitors will step into three diagnostic zones covering integrated cyber protection, disaster recovery, and email security — each offering demonstrations designed to show, not just tell, how businesses can overcome these challenges. Beyond the demos, we’ll also run three expert-led sessions daily. These include Microsoft 365: Anatomy of an Attack – Why integrated protection matters more than ever, The Cyber Resilience Playbook: Thinking Beyond Prevention, and Building OT Cyber Resilience in remote and/or air-gapped environments. The aim is to give IT leaders not only insight but also practical strategies they can take back to their organisations.
