Dynatrace Deepens Microsoft Azure Partnership With New Cloud Operations Solution and AI-Powered SRE Integration

Dynatrace has announced two major advancements in its long-standing collaboration with Microsoft, unveiling a next-generation cloud operations solution for Microsoft Azure alongside a first-of-its-kind integration with Microsoft’s Azure SRE Agent. Together, the announcements mark a significant step toward delivering autonomous cloud operations and accelerating enterprise AI initiatives across Azure environments.
As organizations ramp up investment in AI—forecast by Gartner to reach nearly $1.5 trillion in 2025—demand is rising for deeper visibility, automated operations, and proactive reliability across cloud ecosystems. Dynatrace’s expanded partnership with Microsoft aims to meet this demand through advanced observability and AI-driven workload automation.
Breakthrough Integration With Azure SRE Agent
Dynatrace has become the first observability platform to integrate with Microsoft’s Azure SRE Agent—an AI-powered reliability assistant that continuously monitors cloud resources. This new integration brings together Dynatrace’s precise root-cause analysis and Azure’s deep reliability insights, helping teams detect issues earlier, remediate faster, and significantly reduce outages.
The solution also automates routine runbooks and diagnostic workflows, freeing operations teams to focus on innovation rather than firefighting. According to Scott Hunter, VP of Product Management for Core AI & Engineering at Microsoft, the joint capabilities bring enterprises “one step closer to autonomous operations across their complex environments.”
New Cloud Operations Solution for Azure Unveiled
Complementing the integration, Dynatrace simultaneously launched its next-generation cloud operations solution for Microsoft Azure, now available in preview. The platform introduces new levels of telemetry depth, automation, and AI-powered optimization designed specifically for cloud-native operations.
Key enhancements include:
- Comprehensive Visibility: Expanded telemetry provides richer insights into Azure environments, improving cloud-native observability and powering agentic and generative AI initiatives.
- Auto-Prevention: Early detection of emerging risks with ready-made health alerts and warning signals.
- Auto-Remediation: Intelligent automation that resolves issues across Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, Kubernetes, or AI Foundry services.
- Auto-Optimization: Continuous resource analysis to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
Steve Tack, Chief Product Officer at Dynatrace, said the solution “sets a new standard for cloud operations,” moving customers closer to fully autonomous cloud management.
Empowering Enterprise AI at Scale
The dual announcements come as Dynatrace showcases its platform capabilities at Microsoft Ignite 2025, where it demonstrates how AI-driven insights and automation can simplify cloud complexity and strengthen performance for enterprise customers.
The preview for the new cloud operations solution is now open, with broader availability expected in early 2026. Existing customers can register for early access.
