From AI Adoption to AI ROI: How BMC Helix Is Resetting IT Economics in 2026
With enterprises under increasing pressure to justify AI investments, 2026 will mark a shift toward platforms that deliver tangible business outcomes. Salman Kazmi, Area Vice President, META at BMC Helix, outlines how Agentic AI, autonomous operations, and predictive service management will help organizations move beyond firefighting to proactive, value-driven IT.
What opportunities do you foresee for 2026, and how do you plan to leverage them?
By 2026, enterprises will move decisively toward an age of extreme accountability for tech investments in Agentic AI. Organizations seeking to prove their ROI can do so with platforms that address high-cost needs and increase efficiency —for example, not only managing incidents, but anticipating and preventing disruptions, which cost companies an average of $122,000 in direct labor costs, plus two to five times that amount in business impact. BMC Helix is uniquely capable of helping customers reset the economics of their IT.
What major challenges did you encounter this year, and how did you address them?
One of the major challenges in 2025 was helping enterprises prove the value of their AI adoption. BMC Helix is helping customers address this with solutions like The BMC Helix CFO Dashboard, which shows the total time and money organizations save by using AI agents across all tasks, enabling companies to compare the cost of AI with the tangible benefits they receive
Can you elaborate on your strategic partnerships this year and plans for next year?
In 2025, BMC strengthened strategic alliances across cloud hyperscalers, GSIs, and regional system integrators, enabling faster Helix adoption across the Middle East, Africa, and global markets. Looking ahead to 2026, we will deepen partnerships focused on Cloud-native deployments, Telco, BFSI, and government transformation, and Agentic AI innovation. These collaborations will help customers accelerate digital maturity while ensuring regional compliance, scalability, and security.
What will be your primary focus areas and strategic priorities for 2026?
Our strategic priorities for 2026 include advancing Agentic AI adoption for autonomous service and operations management; driving predictive, self-healing IT environments; and enhancing industry-specific Helix solutions for regulated and high-growth sectors. Above all, our focus remains on helping customers shift from managing IT complexity to demonstrating business outcomes.
Are there plans to explore new markets or introduce new products/applications in 2026?
Yes. BMC Helix will continue expanding across high-growth digital economies, particularly in Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, with deeper penetration into sectors like telecom, financial services, healthcare, and smart infrastructure. From a product perspective, customers can expect next-generation Helix AI capabilities, expanded agentic workflows, and new industry-aligned service applications. These innovations will further unify service management, operations, and business workflows into a single intelligent platform.
How is your company approaching sustainability, digital transformation, or AI adoption in preparation for 2026?
Sustainability, AI, and digital transformation are deeply interconnected at BMC Helix, where we enable organizations to optimize infrastructure utilization, reduce energy-intensive firefighting, and shift to cloud-efficient operations, directly supporting ESG goals. On AI, our focus is on responsible, secure, and explainable AI, Agentic AI for autonomous operations, and data-driven decision intelligence. By 2026, we envision Helix as a core platform helping enterprises achieve sustainable, intelligent, and resilient digital enterprises at scale.
