Kuwait Approves Starlink License to Deliver Satellite Internet Services

The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) has granted a license to Starlink to provide satellite internet services in Kuwait, marking a new step in expanding connectivity options across the country.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the authority said the license was issued after the company met all regulatory and technical requirements, ensuring compliance with national telecommunications laws and spectrum regulations.
CITRA noted that the adoption of low-Earth orbit satellite technology will deliver high-speed, low-latency internet services, helping strengthen competition in Kuwait’s telecom sector and offering consumers more connectivity choices.
The authority also praised the support of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority in facilitating the company’s entry into the local market.
Starlink is expected to begin offering its equipment and services in Kuwait once final technical and procedural arrangements are completed.
