Seagate Unveils Storage for Users and Creators

Seagate Technology has announced a new lineup of consumer and prosumer storage solutions under its Seagate, FireCuda, and LaCie brands. The refreshed portfolio includes the Seagate One Touch desktop external hard drive, the FireCuda X Vault hard drive, and the LaCie 8big Pro5 multi-bay RAID system.

The new range is designed to address the rapid growth of data generated through high-resolution content, gaming, and AI-driven creative workflows. As file sizes increase and data retention needs expand, Seagate’s latest offerings aim to deliver higher capacities, simplified usability, and scalable performance across a variety of use cases.

Among the key highlights, the portfolio introduces expanded storage capacities across portable, desktop, and RAID solutions—scaling up to 256TB. It also features the industry’s only bus-powered USB-C desktop hard drives, eliminating the need for external power supplies, alongside Thunderbolt™ 5 support for high-performance workflows. Additional features include integrated backup tools, system monitoring, and Rescue Data Recovery Services for enhanced reliability.

“From AI-assisted creativity to massive game libraries and family memories, personal data is growing faster and lasting longer,” said Lance Ohara, Vice President of Edge IoT at Seagate. “People need storage that’s designed for this new reality—simple to use, built to scale, and ready for what AI brings next.”

The Seagate One Touch desktop drive is aimed at everyday users, offering straightforward backup with a single-cable USB-C connection for both power and data. Available in capacities up to 24TB, it supports drag-and-drop transfers, cross-platform compatibility, and includes Seagate’s Toolkit software for automated backups.

For gamers and streamers, the FireCuda X Vault provides high-capacity desktop storage designed to complement internal NVMe drives. It supports plug-and-play expansion via USB-C, customizable RGB lighting, and includes data recovery services, along with Xbox on PC certification.

At the high end, the LaCie 8big Pro5 targets creative professionals and production teams. Built for demanding workflows such as multi-stream 4K and 8K video editing, it offers Thunderbolt™ 5 connectivity, transfer speeds of up to 2800MB/s, and configurations scaling up to 256TB. The system also supports multiple RAID setups and delivers up to 140W power for connected laptops.

The Seagate One Touch is now available starting at AED 999 for the 8TB model, while the FireCuda X Vault starts at AED 1,099. The LaCie 8big Pro5 is priced from AED 22,999 through authorized partners.
