
Schneider Electric has concluded its flagship Innovation Summit Middle East and Africa 2026 in Abu Dhabi, gathering more than 2,500 government officials, channel stakeholders, enterprise partners, and industry analysts. Running under the theme “Advancing Energy Tech to Power Intelligence and Resilience,” the two-day event centered on how the convergence of energy infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software is driving regional industrial transformation.
The summit featured high-level ministerial participation, including a keynote from H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, alongside H.E. Marie Audouard, French Ambassador to the UAE. Key executive hosts included Schneider Electric CEO Olivier Blum; Walid Sheta, President for MEA Zone; and Amel Chadli, President of the Gulf Cluster.

UAE Manufacturers Outpace Global Peers in Industrial AI
Coinciding with the event, Schneider Electric released its 2026 Industrial AI in CPG Study: UAE, analyzing AI adoption across local consumer packaged goods, food, and beverage manufacturers. The findings reveal that UAE-based operators are integrating artificial intelligence at a significantly faster rate than the worldwide average:
- Core Operational Integration: 23% of UAE respondents currently treat AI as a central operational component, compared to a 16.3% global benchmark.
- Long-Term Impact: 59% expect AI to fundamentally transform their organizations by 2030, versus 42.2% globally.
- Security Concerns: 38% pinpointed cybersecurity as their primary operational priority as connected industrial deployments scale.

Channel and Ecosystem Initiatives: The NEST Accelerator
Expanding its regional innovation footprint, Schneider Electric signed an agreement with the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism to launch the NEST Accelerator Programme. Supervised by Schneider Electric and delivered via a specialized third-party accelerator, the 12-week program will incubate and mentor high-potential, early-stage startups across MEA specializing in Energy Tech, Industrial Tech, and Enterprise AI.

Convergence of AI, Power, and Critical Infrastructure
Summit sessions and panel debates zeroed in on four strategic pillars critical to IT and OT channel decision-makers:
- AI-Driven Industrial & Energy Operations: Deploying analytics and automation to maximize operational uptime.
- Grid Modernization & Electrification: Preparing national utility networks for increased industrial loads.
- Next-Gen Data Center Infrastructure: Scaling high-density, resilient power architectures to support modern AI workloads.
- Industrial Cybersecurity: Fortifying connected operational environments against evolving threat vectors.

The summit also marked the debut of Schneider Electric’s 3,000-square-meter Innovation Hub. Designed to demonstrate technologies spanning the full asset lifecycle—from planning and build out to active management—the showcase highlighted:
- The Data Cube platform, demonstrating real-time monitoring and operational orchestration.
- Mission-critical deployments for sustainable, AI-ready data centers.
- Solutions covering smart commercial real estate, industrial automation, cybersecurity frameworks, and intelligent water management.
Senior global business unit heads—including Frederic Godemel (Energy Management), Manish Kumar (Secure Power), Pankaj Sharma (Software & Services), Hany Fouda (Process Automation), and Peter Weckesser (Chief Digital Officer)—engaged channel partners and enterprise customers on architectures designed to bridge digital software layers with physical electrical distribution.
