du Partners with Sapia.ai to Introduce AI-Powered Recruitment Assessments

du has partnered with Sapia.ai to introduce AI-powered conversational assessments into its recruitment process The partnership, announced during the Ru’ya Career Fair 2026, will see Sapia.ai’s platform used to support the assessment of candidates across corporate and frontline roles.

Candidates complete a structured, chat-based interview through the platform, after which they receive personalised insights from the assessment. Du’s recruitment teams and hiring managers receive candidate information intended to support initial screening and assessment across larger applicant pools.

The move extends du’s use of artificial intelligence into its internal operations and recruitment processes, alongside its existing focus on AI-enabled technologies and digital services. Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Executive Officer at du, said the recruitment process was an important part of the company’s internal AI adoption.

“AI is changing how organisations operate, and for us that has to begin from within. The recruitment process is an important part of that journey because it is a person’s first meaningful interaction with du as a potential employer,” he said.

Al Hassawi added that the partnership was intended to make the recruitment process more consistent and efficient while providing additional information for candidates and hiring teams. Barb Hayman, Founder and CEO of Sapia.ai, said the platform is intended to support rather than replace human involvement in recruitment decisions.

“Our objective is not to take people out of hiring decisions, but to use technology to create a more consistent experience for every candidate and give recruiters better information to base their decisions,” she said.
