Nutanix Acquires Ryax Technologies to Boost Agentic AI Compute Orchestration Across Hybrid Clouds

Hybrid cloud company Nutanix has announced the acquisition of Ryax Technologies, a France-based platform specialist focused on AI-driven compute orchestration and management. The strategic buyout is set to accelerate Nutanix’s enterprise AI roadmap, enabling organizations to deploy, manage, and govern autonomous and agentic AI models across heterogeneous environments.

Under the agreement, Nutanix will incorporate Ryax’s hardware optimization and dynamic scheduling engine directly into the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) and Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI).

Solving the GPU Shortage and Fragmentation Dilemma
The rapid enterprise shift toward agentic AI is significantly driving up the demand for high-throughput inference workloads. However, ongoing GPU supply constraints and distributed infrastructure setups frequently force IT teams to fragment compute architectures across on-premises data centres, public hyperscalers, and specialized neoclouds to secure adequate silicon capacity.

Bridging this gap demands an operating model that abstracts underlying complexity, standardizes orchestration, and maximizes hardware efficiency. Ryax tackles this bottleneck by automating infrastructure deployment, data pipelines, hardware provisioning, and runtime code execution—eliminating the manual configuration overhead that routinely stalls enterprise AI projects during the proof-of-concept phase.

“Agentic AI requires a flexible architecture, simple operations, and the ability to use infrastructure far more efficiently,” said Rajiv Ramaswami, CEO of Nutanix. “Our acquisition of Ryax helps to directly answer the challenges enterprises face today with agentic AI infrastructure management. The acquisition marks an exciting milestone in our commitment to simplifying enterprise AI at scale, delivering on our promise to help customers safely run AI, applications, and data anywhere.”

Through the integration of Ryax, Nutanix is introducing two key operational pillars to its platform:

  1. Intelligent Resource Optimization: Maximizes the utilization of available compute silicon—including clusters of mixed GPUs and CPUs—to prevent idle cycles and reduce compute waste.
  2. AI-Aware Smart Scheduling: Automatically routes and pins incoming AI workloads to the most cost-efficient and performant hardware target based on real-time operational policies and pricing tiers.

Andry Razafinjatovo, CEO of Ryax Technologies, stated: “The Ryax platform was built to give enterprises seamless execution across hybrid infrastructure, like private data centers, hyperscalers, and neoclouds, handling backend complexity so teams can deploy, scale, and manage AI workflows from day one. By combining our technology and talented team with Nutanix, we will empower organizations to accelerate their agentic AI initiatives seamlessly, wherever their infrastructure lives.”

Channel and Enterprise Relevance for MEA
For the regional enterprise IT landscape, the acquisition directly targets key compute and compliance hurdles currently facing regional CIOs, systems integrators, and channel partners as AI workloads move from pilot projects to production environments.

“Across the MEA region, organisations are moving quickly from AI experimentation to deploying intelligent, agentic AI at scale,” noted Reshma Naik, Senior Director for Presales, Middle East and Africa at Nutanix. “The acquisition of Ryax Technologies strengthens Nutanix’s ability to help customers optimise AI workloads and make more efficient use of CPU and GPU resources across hybrid environments. As enterprises in the region seek to scale AI while managing cost, performance, and data sovereignty, this capability will help simplify the infrastructure challenge and enable organisations to focus on turning AI innovation into tangible business outcomes.”

Following the transaction, the Ryax engineering and product teams will integrate into Nutanix’s European operations, with Ryax’s orchestration capabilities slated for rollout in forthcoming releases of the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform and Nutanix Enterprise AI.
