Qlik Launches AI Trust Score in Qlik Talend Cloud

Qlik has announced the general availability of Qlik Trust Score for AI, a new feature within Qlik Talend Cloud. This innovation is designed to help organizations assess the readiness and trustworthiness of data before it is used in artificial intelligence models. The company states that the new capabilities aim to provide a quantifiable way to measure and monitor data trustworthiness for AI workloads.
Many enterprises adopting AI face the challenge of not knowing if the data feeding their models is trustworthy or fit for purpose. Qlik Trust Score for AI aims to address this by providing a single score that indicates where data trust issues exist, intending to help prevent bias, drift, or faulty outcomes.
Drew Clarke, EVP of Product and Technology at Qlik, stated, “Most companies still treat data trust like an IT hygiene issue. It’s not. It’s the foundation of every AI decision a business makes. If you can’t measure trust, you’re gambling with outcomes, compliance, and customer experience. With Qlik Trust Score for AI, we’re giving leaders a living signal, not a gut check, that their data is fit for purpose. That’s how you close the gap between AI ambition and AI impact.”
Qlik Trust Score for AI expands upon Qlik’s existing Trust Score framework by adding three new dimensions specifically for AI readiness:
- Diversity: Measures data representativeness and balance to help reduce bias in AI training.
- Timeliness: Captures the freshness of data for AI models to ensure relevance.
- Accuracy: Flags values that fall outside user-defined business rules or quality expectations that could erode trust in AI.
These new dimensions, combined with existing metrics like Discoverability and Usage, provide a method to validate datasets for use in AI training, RAG pipelines, or intelligent automation. Future dimensions, Security and LLM Readiness, are planned.
Qlik is also rolling out additional features, including Qlik Trust Score historization, which allows users to monitor trends over time and correlate shifts in trust with downstream impacts such as model drift or performance degradation. An early access program for an AI-native Data Stewardship experience within Qlik Talend Cloud is also planned for this fall. This capability aims to proactively detect and resolve data issues earlier in the lifecycle by combining automated rules, human-in-the-loop workflows, and platform-wide governance.
A recent Qlik survey indicated that only 42% of executives fully trust AI-generated insights, despite nearly 90% stating AI is central to their competitive strategy. Qlik states that the Trust Score for AI aims to bridge this gap with an objective framework that aligns with emerging governance standards. Qlik Trust Score for AI is now generally available to all Qlik Talend Cloud Enterprise Edition customers.
