Vertiv to Acquire King Environmental Services to Expand EMEA Fluid Management Capabilities

Vertiv Holdings Co has agreed to acquire King Environmental Services Ltd. (KES), a Europe-based provider of fluid management, commissioning and load-testing services for liquid-cooled data centres and other high-density infrastructure. The planned acquisition is expected to expand Vertiv’s thermal management services capabilities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as data centre operators increasingly deploy infrastructure designed to support artificial intelligence and other compute-intensive workloads.
KES provides services covering fluid-system preparation, flushing, filtration, water treatment, commissioning, monitoring and performance validation. The company also conducts thermal load testing for liquid-cooling infrastructure and electrical load testing for critical power systems. The deal builds on Vertiv’s existing fluid management capabilities in North America, including its acquisition of PurgeRite in 2025. The company said the addition of KES will give it greater field-service capacity in EMEA and broaden its ability to support customers across different stages of thermal infrastructure deployment and operation.
“As computing density increases, the performance of cooling and power infrastructure will depend as much on execution in the field as on engineering and system design,” said Gio Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv. The growing use of liquid cooling is creating additional operational requirements for data centre operators. Fluid quality can affect heat-transfer efficiency, equipment performance and system reliability, while issues such as contamination, corrosion, trapped air, incorrect fluid chemistry and flow imbalances can introduce risks during commissioning and ongoing operations.
KES has developed its operations in Europe around these requirements, with services covering preparation and maintenance of fluid systems as well as validation and testing. The company is headquartered near Dublin, Ireland, and serves customers across the EMEA region. Vertiv said the combined capabilities are intended to give customers a single service provider covering areas such as commissioning, testing and ongoing fluid management, while also helping operators validate cooling performance before facilities enter service.
The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed, with Vertiv stating that the transaction is not expected to be material to its financial results.
