Saviynt Launches Local Data Residency Solution in Saudi Arabia

Saviynt has launched a data residency solution in Saudi Arabia, allowing organisations to deploy its Enterprise Identity Cloud while keeping sensitive identity data within the Kingdom. The solution is hosted on Google Cloud’s Dammam region.
The launch comes as Saudi organisations face growing requirements around data protection under the Kingdom’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). The local deployment is aimed at government entities, financial institutions and other regulated organisations seeking to meet data residency requirements while expanding their use of cloud services.
Identity data can include user information, access permissions and approval records. Keeping this information within national borders is an important consideration for organisations managing regulatory obligations alongside digital transformation initiatives.
“Identity is becoming the control plane for AI, and Saudi organizations need solutions that address their evolving regulatory and data residency requirements,” said Kamel Heus, Vice President of Sales, Middle East and Africa, Saviynt. “With Saviynt’s Enterprise Identity Cloud hosted in Google Cloud’s Dammam region and our local legal entity in the Kingdom, we are making it easier for government, financial services, energy, telecommunications and other enterprises to meet local requirements while modernizing identity security. This reflects our commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation with local capabilities and expertise.”
Identity security is becoming increasingly important as organisations adopt cloud services and integrate artificial intelligence into operational environments. This includes managing access for employees, applications and AI agents.
Saviynt’s local hosting option is designed to help organisations modernise identity governance through a cloud-based software-as-a-service platform without having to maintain their own infrastructure. The company said the deployment also offers local hosting performance benefits, support from its local legal entity and access to regional expertise.
“Our cloud-native, SaaS-based platform brings modern identity security and AI capabilities to Saudi Arabia, helping organizations move beyond legacy infrastructure while benefiting from a more seamless experience and improved performance through local hosting,” said Niraj Gopal, Vice President of Product Management, Saviynt. “This launch reflects our commitment to making advanced identity security more accessible to Saudi organizations, enabling them to modernize their identity operations with a scalable, continuously evolving platform.”
The solution has been available since 1 October 2026. Saviynt said the deployment enables customer data, personally identifiable information (PII), encryption keys, logs and metadata to be hosted within Saudi Arabia.
