Forcepoint and BeyondTrust have introduced an integration connecting identity risk intelligence with data security controls, helping organisations identify sensitive information exposed through compromised or overprivileged identities and take targeted action to mitigate risks.
The integration combines Forcepoint’s AI-native data discovery and classification capabilities with BeyondTrust Identity Security Insights. Available now, the solution was announced at BeyondTrust’s Go Beyond Chicago customer conference.
By connecting identity-related alerts with data exposure information, the integration enables security teams to determine which sensitive records a risky identity can access and restrict that access where necessary. The approach is designed to address individual identities rather than impose broader restrictions that could interrupt business operations.
Linking identity risk to sensitive data
BeyondTrust Identity Security Insights identifies risky human, machine and AI identities based on behavioural patterns, excessive privileges, compromised credentials and relationships between identities. Its True Privilege graph maps potential paths to elevated privileges, providing visibility into how identities can gain access to critical systems and resources.
Forcepoint Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) adds the data context, identifying confidential information accessible through those permissions and highlighting where exposure presents the greatest concern. Security teams can use this information to prioritise risks and revoke or restrict an identity’s access to specific sensitive data through Forcepoint’s controls.
The integration targets three principal security challenges: compromised identities, excessive permissions assigned to service accounts and AI agents, and the difficulty of prioritising identity alerts without understanding the underlying data exposure.
When a credential is compromised, organisations can identify the sensitive records that the identity can reach and restrict the affected access. For service accounts and AI agents, the integration helps security teams respond to suspicious behaviour or excessive privileges by removing access to sensitive information while allowing other authorised activities to continue.
The combined capabilities also help reduce the manual effort involved in investigating alerts across separate security platforms. A Forcepoint dashboard ranks risky identities according to the value of the data they can access and provides context on why each identity has been flagged, helping security teams focus on the most significant exposures.
Bakshi Kohli, Chief Technology Officer of Forcepoint, said organisations need more precise controls as AI agents become increasingly involved in business operations. He noted that combining BeyondTrust’s identity risk detection with Forcepoint’s data visibility allows organisations to revoke an individual identity’s access without imposing unnecessary restrictions on other activities.
David Manks, Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances at BeyondTrust, said the integration brings together complementary capabilities to help organisations understand how identity and privilege risks translate into sensitive data exposure. By combining data security insights with identity and privilege intelligence, the companies aim to help security teams make more informed decisions and respond to threats with greater precision.
Addressing the growth of non-human identities
The integration also addresses the expanding security challenges associated with non-human identities, including service accounts and AI agents. According to 2026 research from the Cloud Security Alliance, machine and AI identities outnumber human users by 144 to one. As organisations expand their use of automation and AI, managing the permissions assigned to these identities has become an important part of security governance.
The companies said the integration would help organisations identify excessive access, assess the data exposure associated with risky identities and apply more targeted controls. The Forcepoint DSPM integration with BeyondTrust Identity Security Insights is available now to customers using both solutions.
