Napster and HUMAIN Partner to Expand Arabic-Native AI Across the Middle East

AI companies Napster and HUMAIN have announced a strategic partnership to develop and deploy Arabic-native AI experiences for public and private sector organisations across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The collaboration will integrate HUMAIN’s AI services platform, HUMAIN IQ, and its HUMAIN Voice technologies with Napster’s video-based AI presence, Large Persona Model technology and multimodal agent infrastructure. The companies aim to develop AI agents capable of communicating in Arabic through voice, video and conversational interfaces.

Under the agreement, Napster will access selected HUMAIN technologies through secure application programming interfaces (APIs). These include ALLAM, HUMAIN’s proprietary large language model; HUMAIN Voice ASR Real Time, which converts spoken Arabic into text; and HUMAIN Voice TTS Real Time, which generates speech across multiple Arabic dialects.

The technologies will be integrated with Napster’s AI platform to support digital agents designed to understand Arabic, retain contextual information through persistent memory and interact with customers and colleagues.

John Acunto, CEO of Napster, said Arabic-speaking markets had been underserved by AI platforms built primarily around English-language models. He said HUMAIN’s language and speech technologies would improve the platform’s ability to communicate with users in the region.

Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, said the partnership would demonstrate how AI technologies developed in Saudi Arabia could be integrated into international platforms and applied across different markets.

“The next generation of AI must be native to the markets it serves, but the technology we build in Saudi Arabia must also be capable of extending across new markets,” Amin said. He added that combining HUMAIN’s models and services with Napster’s AI capabilities would support the development of solutions for regional requirements while demonstrating the wider applicability of Saudi-developed technology.

Focus on Arabic-language AI deployment
The partnership comes as organisations across the region explore the use of AI agents in customer engagement and business operations. The companies are positioning Arabic-language capabilities as a central part of that adoption, particularly for applications that require spoken interaction and an understanding of regional language variations.

HUMAIN’s contribution will centre on its language models, speech technologies and AI services, while Napster will provide the infrastructure for deploying embodied and agentic AI experiences. The companies say the API-based approach will allow selected capabilities to be incorporated into Napster’s platform without requiring each organisation to develop comparable systems from scratch.

Napster plans to offer the resulting capabilities to existing public and private sector clients in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern markets. Further initiatives and deployments are planned during 2026, although the companies have not detailed specific customer projects, implementation timelines or commercial terms.

HUMAIN is a company backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) that provides AI technologies and services. Napster describes itself as a frontier AI company focused on embodied and agentic AI systems.

The partnership adds to efforts to develop AI systems that can operate in languages and cultural contexts beyond English. Its broader impact will depend on how the integrated technologies perform in real-world deployments and how widely organisations adopt them.
