IFS to Strengthen the Digital Transformation Goals of SOHAR Port and Freezone in Oman

IFS has announced that SOHAR Port and Freezone, in the Sultanate of Oman, has selected IFS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Service Management, and Project Management to fully digitize, automate and centralize the Finance, Supply Chain and HCM Departments into one platform. As a major contributor to trade in Oman, it is important that SOHAR Port and Freezone make adequate investments to ensure that they are future-ready to adapt and meet the emerging business requirements of the ports industry.

Commenting on signing of the contract, Bader Al Ghaithi, IT Manager, Sohar Port and Freezone, said, “With multiple solution requirements, the need to have them operating on a unified platform that is fully integrated and to work with an organization that has relevant industry experience were two of the main reasons that we chose IFS. We are confident that the combination of the solution’s unique features, ease of use and quick implementation will help us meet our future digital transformation requirements.”

Abdullah Al-Kindi, Oman Country Manager at IFS, said, “In addition to providing Sohar Port and Freezone with a modern experience and the flexibility that they need, our team of industry experts was aware of their stringent data security requirements and have ensured that the current solution implementation complies with the local requirements.”
