Trellix has expanded its leadership team with the appointments of David Pieterse as Chief Operating Officer – Go-To-Market (COO-GTM) and David Soto as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The appointments are aimed at strengthening Trellix’s go-to-market execution, strategic partnerships and enterprise security capabilities as organisations respond to an increasingly AI-driven threat landscape.
Pieterse joins Trellix to lead its go-to-market organisation and support growth across its strategic business areas. His remit includes strengthening front-line execution, translating security innovation into customer value and building long-term growth.

Pieterse brings more than two decades of experience in enterprise technology and revenue leadership spanning cybersecurity, enterprise software and data analytics. He most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer at Recorded Future, where he led global revenue operations through the company’s acquisition by Mastercard. Previously, he was Chief Revenue Officer at Snow Software and SVP of Global Revenue at Kong, Inc.

Soto will oversee Trellix’s enterprise security programme and its shared resilience transformation. He will also serve as executive steward of Trellix’s Customer Zero programme, which is designed to demonstrate the company’s security capabilities within its own environment.

Soto brings more than 25 years of cybersecurity leadership experience across regulated industries. Most recently, he served as Head of Infrastructure Security at Amazon, where he scaled a security programme across more than 4,000 sites in 30 countries.
His work at Amazon included integrating security into global operational infrastructure, including anomaly detection systems designed to protect employees working alongside automation and robotics. He previously held roles at Check Point, Optiv and Pacific Life and has served on the board of the Orange County CISO Roundtable since 2017.
