HUMAIN and DataVolt Partner to Develop 100MW of 360MW AI Data Centre in NEOM

HUMAIN, a PIF company focused on delivering full-stack artificial intelligence capabilities globally, and DataVolt, a Saudi developer and operator of sustainable digital infrastructure, have expanded their partnership to jointly develop 100MW of a 360MW AI-ready data centre at Oxagon, NEOM’s industrial city on the Red Sea coast.
Announced at LEAP 2026, the partnership marks a transition from planning to construction, with work now underway on the first phase of DataVolt’s planned AI data centre campus at Oxagon. The 360MW first phase is being developed to support the growing compute requirements of advanced AI applications. The facility is expected to incorporate renewable energy sources, advanced cooling technologies and high-performance computing clusters designed to support large-scale AI and cloud workloads. The first 100MW is expected to become available in 2028.
The project combines HUMAIN’s capabilities across the AI stack with DataVolt’s experience in developing, financing, delivering and operating large-scale digital infrastructure. “AI ambition only matters when you can turn it into infrastructure, compute and capacity that customers can use,” said Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN. “That is what this partnership with DataVolt is about. Construction is underway, 100MW is moving forward, and we are building with the speed and scale that the next era of AI demands.”
For DataVolt, the groundbreaking represents the start of construction on the 360MW first phase of its wider planned 1.5GW Oxagon campus. The development adds to DataVolt’s infrastructure pipeline across Saudi Arabia and Central Asia and builds on its experience in structuring and delivering capital-intensive digital infrastructure projects.

The project is expected to benefit from Oxagon’s industrial infrastructure, including pre-zoned industrial land, access to large-scale energy resources and low-latency connectivity through subsea cables linking the region with Europe and Africa. These capabilities are becoming increasingly important for AI infrastructure, where access to power, connectivity, speed of development and operating efficiency can have a significant impact on the economics of large-scale compute.

The project comes as demand for AI infrastructure continues to grow globally, driving greater requirements for power, high-density data centre capacity and infrastructure capable of supporting increasingly powerful computing systems. The HUMAIN-DataVolt partnership aims to address this demand by combining AI capabilities with large-scale infrastructure development, creating a pathway from data centre capacity to deployable AI compute.
The initial 100MW development represents a key milestone in the partnership and in the development of large-scale AI infrastructure at Oxagon, while forming part of DataVolt’s broader plans to develop a 1.5GW AI data centre campus in the industrial city.
