NTT DATA Expands AI-Powered Platform for Global Infrastructure Operations
NTT DATA is expanding the deployment of its AI-powered infrastructure operations platform to support complex enterprise environments worldwide, combining real-time monitoring, predictive analytics and intelligent automation to improve IT stability, efficiency and operational visibility.
The deployment includes support for Daimler Truck, one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers, and covers a range of infrastructure operations spanning IT and cloud environments, SAP Basis and network operations.
The platform is designed to provide a unified view of distributed infrastructure by monitoring tens of thousands of devices in real time across local and global environments. By bringing operational data together, NTT DATA aims to help organisations identify potential issues earlier, optimise infrastructure performance and make more effective use of computing and network resources.
“Our AI-powered platform significantly increases transparency and automation, providing the foundation for greater stability, faster response times and a future-ready IT architecture,” said Abhijit Dubey, CEO and Chief AI Officer, NTT DATA, Inc. “Our work with Daimler Truck is one example of how we can operate global IT infrastructures securely, responsibly and at scale with clear business outcomes.”
A key element of the platform is its ability to move infrastructure management beyond reactive monitoring. AI-driven predictive analytics can identify patterns and potential anomalies before they develop into disruptions, allowing operations teams to take preventative action rather than responding after an incident has already affected services or production.
The platform also automates multi-stage incident processing, reducing manual intervention and helping accelerate the identification, escalation and resolution of operational issues. For organisations running large, distributed environments, this can translate into reduced downtime and lower operational risk.
NTT DATA is also using an AI-orchestrated global delivery model that combines on-site expertise with offshore execution. The approach is intended to provide continuous operational support while maintaining coordination across geographically distributed infrastructure teams.
The deployment also incorporates lifecycle management and coordinated hardware upgrades to maintain connectivity and infrastructure performance across enterprise sites and production environments.
For manufacturers and other organisations operating increasingly complex digital infrastructure, the shift towards AI-driven operations reflects a broader move from infrastructure management based largely on human intervention towards systems that can continuously observe, predict and automate routine operational decisions.
As enterprise IT environments become more distributed across data centres, cloud platforms, networks and business applications, NTT DATA’s deployment illustrates how AI is increasingly being applied not only to business applications but also to the underlying infrastructure on which those operations depend.
