LG Showcases AI Home Vision at Urban October 2026 in Oman

LG Electronics (LG) highlighted its latest breakthroughs in ambient intelligence at Urban October 2026, held at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre from 5 to 8 October 2026. Organized in coordination with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning of the Sultanate of Oman, the installation emphasized a unified objective to foster forward-looking, sustainable living spaces. The exhibit allowed attendees to interact directly with AI-driven residential solutions engineered to elevate daily ease, reduce power consumption, and enrich modern living.
Partnering with its official distributor, Oman Gulf Enterprises LLC (OGE), LG brought these technologies directly to regional developers, home buyers, and municipal planners, proving how smart-city frameworks can translate into practical domestic efficiency for local households.
As Oman drives forward with master-planned districts and connected communities, residential environments stand at the core of national urban development. LG’s presence directly complements the Ministry’s targets for quality residential stock, sustainable infrastructure, and community well-being, while proving the utility of public-private alliances in serving Omani families over the coming decades.
Moving away from static product shelves, the installation featured an operational, fully furnished living environment divided into three curated zones:
- A Smarter Kitchen for Every Day: Outfitted with an LG InstaView built-in oven, induction cooktop, extraction hood, built-in microwave, dishwasher, and InstaView refrigerator, showing how automated appliances simplify meal prep, clean-up, and grocery storage.
- Smart Laundry. Better Living: Combining the LG WashTower with the LG Styler to deliver streamlined, space-saving clothing care tailored for contemporary floor plans.
- Experience Every Moment: Pairing LG Smart TVs and soundbars with residential inverter air conditioning and the LG Aero Alpha air purifier, merging cinematic home entertainment with clean, climate-controlled air.
The connected ecosystem is powered by the LG ThinQ platform, enabling users to oversee appliances remotely, receive maintenance alerts, and manage utility consumption—an essential advantage in Oman’s climate, where home cooling accounts for a significant portion of electrical demand. The setup advances LG’s wider “Zero Labor Home” concept, which leverages intelligent automation to shoulder routine domestic chores so families can reclaim personal time.
Young Hak Jeong, Managing Director, LG Gulf Electronics, said, “Oman is building the cities of the future, and homes sit at the heart of that vision. We are proud to support the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning at Urban October 2026 by showing what a truly intelligent home looks like, one that saves energy, saves time and adapts to the way Omani families live. The LG AI Home reflects our commitment to being a long-term partner in Oman’s journey towards Vision 2040.”
This showcase expands on LG’s ongoing operational investments in the Sultanate, which included launching its Muscat Commercial Air Conditioning Showroom in 2025. Through this AI Home installation, LG broadens its scope from commercial developments directly into private residential projects across Oman.
