Etihad Salam Telecom Company (Salam) has signed a three-year managed services agreement with Nutanix to provide private cloud infrastructure-as-a-service to enterprise customers in Saudi Arabia. The partnership will combine Salam’s telecommunications and digital infrastructure capabilities in the Kingdom with Nutanix’s cloud infrastructure technology. The companies said the service will be aimed at businesses looking to modernise their IT environments while retaining greater control over their infrastructure and data.
Under the agreement, Salam will offer private cloud infrastructure as a managed service, giving its B2B customers access to scalable computing resources without requiring them to manage the underlying infrastructure independently. The arrangement is also intended to address demand from Saudi businesses for cloud environments that can provide flexibility and scalability while meeting requirements around security, governance and control.
“Our collaboration combines Salam’s expertise with Nutanix’s world-class cloud technology, we are uniquely positioned to deliver private cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability,” said Abdullah Khorami, Chief Business Officer at Salam.
The partnership comes as Saudi organisations continue to invest in digital infrastructure as part of the Kingdom’s broader technology and economic diversification agenda. Private and hybrid cloud models are increasingly being considered by enterprises that need to balance cloud flexibility with requirements for data control, security and regulatory compliance.
Talal Al-Saif, Regional Director, Saudi Arabia, at Nutanix, said the partnership would extend the company’s private cloud capabilities to businesses through Salam’s local presence and infrastructure. For Salam, the agreement expands its enterprise technology portfolio beyond connectivity and telecommunications services into managed cloud infrastructure. Nutanix’s platform will provide the underlying technology, while Salam will deliver the service to its B2B customers in the Saudi market.
The companies expect the partnership to support organisations as they modernise their IT infrastructure and adopt cloud-based technologies, while aligning with Saudi Arabia’s wider digital transformation objectives. The memorandum of understanding was signed during LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, where Salam was participating as a strategic sponsor.
