Huawei Showcases Transport Innovations, Industry Solutions and AI for Middle East Digital Growth

Following its participation at MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei highlighted a series of industry-focused innovations and collaborative initiatives designed to accelerate digital and intelligent transformation across key sectors including transportation, industry, and financial services. The announcements reflect Huawei’s broader strategy to embed AI, advanced connectivity, and digital platforms into critical infrastructure and enterprise operations.

For countries across the Middle East pursuing ambitious digital transformation and economic diversification agendas, these solutions will strengthen operational resilience, improve efficiency, and unlock new value across strategic industries. At MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei hosted a transportation forum bringing together industry leaders, partners, and customers to explore how intelligent technologies are reshaping mobility systems worldwide.

Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU

Opening the forum, David Shi, Vice President of Huawei ICT Marketing and Solution Sales, highlighted how digital and intelligent technologies such as 5G, AI, and cloud are reshaping global transportation systems. He emphasized Huawei’s commitment to working with industry partners to build an integrated digital foundation connecting passenger flows, freight logistics, operations, revenue systems, and information networks across the transportation ecosystem.

As part of this vision, Huawei presented five new solutions that will accelerate the transition toward intelligent transportation. These include the Transportation Operations Coordination Center (TOCC) for integrated urban mobility management, a next-generation bearer network for railway operation and dispatching, a big data risk control platform for customs authorities, and an AI-powered port scheduling agent capable of coordinating complex port operations in minutes rather than hours. These innovations aim to improve operational efficiency, enhance safety, and support the development of fully digital mobility and logistics ecosystems.

At the Industrial Digital and Intelligent Transformation Summit held during MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei showcased a broad portfolio of industrial intelligence initiatives developed together with global customers and ecosystem partners. The company shared 115 industrial intelligence showcases across sectors such as energy, manufacturing, finance, transportation, retail, oil and gas, public services, and smart cities, demonstrating real-world applications of AI across core production environments.

Huawei also introduced 22 new industry-specific solutions developed with partners and presented the ACT Pathway, a framework designed to help organizations implement intelligence at scale. The ACT model focuses on identifying high-value AI scenarios, calibrating models with industry-specific data, and transforming operations through AI-enabled talent and skills. Complementing this framework, Huawei upgraded its SHAPE 2.0 partner program, integrating AI across products, joint innovation mechanisms, partner capability development, and ecosystem collaboration to accelerate intelligent transformation across industries.

During the finance session titled “Powering Resilient Intelligence, Co-creating Finance Future,” Huawei also outlined new advancements in its Banking AI and Foundation Model Solutions designed to support the financial sector’s transition into the AI era.

Speaking at the session, Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, highlighted the growing importance of resilience, cybersecurity, and intelligent operations as financial institutions transition into the AI era. Huawei’s upgraded financial solutions combine high-performance AI infrastructure, systems engineering, and open ecosystems to help banks accelerate AI adoption across core operations.

The company introduced enhanced capabilities including SuperPoD AI computing infrastructure, an upgraded AI Data Platform, and the Xinghe AI Network, enabling financial institutions to support both traditional banking workloads and emerging AI-driven services. Through improved model tuning, intelligent operations management, and agent development capabilities, Huawei has reduced AI solution development cycles from months to weeks while significantly improving response latency and accuracy.

These innovations are supported by Huawei’s expanding RongHai partner ecosystem, which now includes more than 150 solution partners and over 11,000 consulting, service, and integration partners worldwide. Hand-in-hand, Huawei and its ecosystem partners aim to accelerate the integration of AI into banking, insurance, and securities services. This will enable more intelligent customer interactions, improved risk management, and highly personalized financial services.

Across these strategic updates, Huawei emphasized the importance of open collaboration with customers, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders to accelerate industry-wide intelligence. From transportation networks and industrial production to financial services infrastructure, Huawei continues to develop integrated digital platforms and AI-enabled solutions designed to help organizations unlock new levels of efficiency, resilience, and innovation.

The discussions and showcases at MWC Barcelona 2026 highlighted the growing role of AI, advanced connectivity, and industry collaboration in shaping the next phase of global digital transformation. As organizations across the Middle East continue exploring new applications for intelligent technologies, Huawei remains focused on working with regional partners to translate these innovations into practical, scalable solutions across critical industries.
