Barco Appoints Erdem Soyal as VP for MEA Operations

Barco has named Erdem Soyal as the new Vice President of its Middle East and Africa (MEA) operations. Bringing to his role over 15 years of experience, Erdem is responsible for developing and strengthening Barco’s enterprise, entertainment and healthcare client bases. In this capacity, he is mandated to accelerate Barco’s growth in the region through creating synergies across the MEA markets to offer more convenient solutions to its customers.

Speaking on his new role, Erdem Soyal said, “I am pleased to come on board at this important time when Barco’s offices in the Middle East and Africa region are witnessing great success. The company provides innovative solutions in different fields such as the meeting room hybrid conferencing collaboration experience, control rooms, digital healthcare imaging, live event visualization, as well as architectural projection mapping.”

He added, “Barco’s ongoing research that addresses dynamic employee needs through its cutting-edge solutions, clearly indicates that in the prevailing global landscape, these solutions are more relevant and impactful than ever in delivering effective customer experience. In the next few years, the company will focus on shaping and delivering innovative solutions to further strengthen its product portfolio in the region.”

Earlier in his career, Erdem held several leadership roles in sales, business development, and general management in companies such as Philips, General Electric, and Honeywell. With a proven track record in realizing profitable growth and leading multi-cultural and multi-divisional teams, Erdem Soyal’s strength lies in developing breakthrough initiatives that enable strong organizational structures, and in building high performing teams that can achieve accelerated growth.

Erdem Soyal has been active in the Middle East region for more than a decade and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Tilburg University, in the Netherlands, with a focus on Organization and Strategy. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
