GITEX 2021: Companies Must Reimagine Cybersecurity to Protect an Expanded Threat Surface

Gaurav Mohan, the VP of Sales for SAARC and Middle East at NETSCOUT, speaks about their participation at GITEX 2021

Are you participating in GITEX 2021? If yes, which products and solutions will you be showcasing at GITEX Technology Week?
We’re looking forward to returning to GITEX this year! We’re also excited to unveil our new Omnis Security platform at GITEX. Our main priority is security, and the pandemic has brought attention to the necessity for flexible security infrastructures. Doing business in a digital economy necessitates flexibility, and corporate digital infrastructures have evolved dramatically as a result.

As they rush to the cloud and increase activities across a globally distributed digital ecosystem, companies must reimagine cybersecurity to protect this expanded threat surface. Complete network visibility is essential for this. NETSCOUT Omnis Security is advanced threat analytics and response platform that provides the scale, scope, and consistency required to secure today’s digital infrastructure.

Our solutions are designed to provide comprehensive protection for our customers by leveraging our unique cyber intelligence, in-depth attack analytics, and effective incident response. Regional private and public sectors are engaging in rapid digital transformation.

Their digital success requires seamless visibility and monitoring for performance and security across a complex set of platforms, locations, and providers. This is our top priority and something we want to highlight during the show this year.

What are your expectations from the event this year?
Historically, GITEX has always been an excellent event for us. It allows us to meet many of our customers and showcase our new products. This year’s GITEX is sure to be a one-of-a-kind event. It will be many people’s first face-to-face event in a long time, and we believe it will be highly productive for everyone.

For many businesses, the last 18 months have been difficult. We have witnessed the connected world become increasingly complex, unstable, and nearly hard to control during these exceptional times. We’re excited to see our customers and engage with potential customers and channel partners.

An event like GITEX provides the technology community with opportunities to gain inspiration from the latest innovations in cyberspace. GITEX is the premier forum to raise awareness about new technologies, exchange best threat hunting, and intelligence practices, and connect with the best minds in the business.

What will be your theme of participation at GITEX?
The last few months have seen an exponential rise in cyberattacks in the region. Moreover, as we know, adversaries thrive on constant innovation. Attacks will only grow more complex, and threat actors will continue to discover and weaponise new attack vectors designed to exploit the vulnerabilities exposed by this enormous digital shift.

Protecting our connected world has never been more important. At GITEX 2021, through our Omnis security platform, we will be focusing on the importance of security and network visibility to detect threats and protect enterprise digital infrastructures in the constantly evolving threat landscape.

How have your regional strategies changed in recent months?
The COVID-19 naturally had an impact on our strategies and our response to the changing business environment, and this is true for our partners and customers as well. While we’ve all adapted to meeting and collaborating with our clients remotely, our role as reliable cybersecurity service providers has become even more important.

We’ve noticed the need for robust security has significantly escalated. We’re committed to leveraging our threat intelligence to tailor our solutions to our clients in the region and act as partners on their journey to comprehensive network security.
