Huawei Expands ICT Academy Network to Five More Saudi Universities at LEAP 2026
Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia Co. Ltd. has signed ICT Academy cooperation agreements with five Saudi universities at LEAP 2026, expanding access to its global digital skills programme and supporting Saudi Arabia’s efforts to develop the talent needed for its digital economy.
The agreements were signed at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham with the University of Bisha, Qassim University, King Khalid University, University of Jeddah, and Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University.
Through the partnerships, students will gain access to structured ICT curricula, practical training resources and opportunities to pursue internationally recognised certifications, including the Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA). Training will cover areas including cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and data communications, helping students develop skills aligned with the Kingdom’s growing demand for digital professionals.
The addition of universities in Bisha, Al Qassim, Abha, Jeddah and Al Kharj expands the Huawei ICT Academy’s reach across multiple regions of Saudi Arabia, bringing industry-focused ICT education to students beyond the Kingdom’s largest technology hubs.
Faculty members at the partner universities will also participate in Huawei’s train-the-trainer programme, gaining access to technical resources, curriculum development support and programme updates designed to keep academic training aligned with evolving industry requirements.
Students from the five universities will additionally be eligible to participate in the Huawei ICT Competition, the company’s global talent development initiative. The programme provides students with opportunities to test their technical skills, compete at regional and international levels and gain greater exposure to the global technology industry.

The partnerships were announced during LEAP 2026, where Huawei is showcasing its vision of ‘Advancing Industrial All Intelligence’ under the event’s broader theme, ‘Into New Worlds.’ The agreements highlight the growing importance of industry-academia collaboration in developing the skills and talent required to support Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation and Vision 2030 ambitions.
