Arab Tank Terminals Selects IFS Cloud to Modernise Enterprise Operations
Arab Tank Terminals Ltd. (ATTL), one of the earliest independent bulk liquid storage terminals on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, has selected IFS Cloud embedded with IFS.ai as its enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform. The implementation forms part of ATTL’s digital transformation programme and is intended to establish a more integrated and scalable technology environment to support the company’s operations and future growth.
ATTL is a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Refineries Company (SARCO), Independent Petroleum Group (IPG) and Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC). The company provides storage and handling solutions for petrochemical products and industrial liquids in Saudi Arabia.
Bringing core operations onto one platform
IFS Cloud will connect key business functions including finance, procurement, supply chain, maintenance, asset management, projects, health, safety and environment (HSE), and human resources. By consolidating these functions within a single platform, ATTL expects to gain greater visibility across its operations, improve data accuracy and streamline workflows. The system is also intended to support faster decision-making by providing more immediate access to operational information.
For an asset-intensive business, the focus extends beyond conventional ERP capabilities. ATTL identified IFS Cloud’s asset and maintenance management, HSE capabilities and ability to provide a unified foundation for critical operations as key factors in its selection. The implementation is expected to support asset reliability and maintenance planning, improve inventory and procurement processes, strengthen regulatory compliance and safety activities, and provide real-time operational insights.
Adding AI to enterprise operations
IFS Cloud is powered by IFS.ai, which uses machine learning and historical trends to generate insights tailored to business operations. For ATTL, the technology is intended to help connect operational signals with business workflows, allowing teams to identify potential issues earlier and respond more quickly.
