HP Highlights Expanding AI Portfolio and Future Vision at Imagine 2026 Event

At its Imagine 2026 event, HP Inc. introduced a broad portfolio of AI-powered devices, enterprise security innovations and intelligent workflow solutions aimed at redefining the future of work for businesses and individuals. The company said its latest announcements are designed to simplify increasingly complex work environments by integrating artificial intelligence across devices, software and services.

“As we look ahead, the future of work is about making work simpler in a world that’s getting more complex,” said Bruce Broussard, interim chief executive officer of HP. “We’re focused on using AI to create more connected experiences that help organizations move faster and help people do their best work.”

AI to Reduce Workplace Friction
HP highlighted persistent challenges in modern workplaces despite rapid digital transformation. According to its 2025 Work Relationship Index, only 20% of workers report a healthy relationship with work, while 22% face monthly technology disruptions.

The company said deploying the right tools can significantly improve employee experience and productivity, noting that internal use of AI PCs has already delivered measurable gains.

Introducing HP IQ and On-Device Intelligence
Central to HP’s announcement is HP IQ, a new platform designed to bring on-device AI intelligence to enterprise PCs and workplace devices. Debuting on the next-generation HP EliteBook X G2 AI PCs, HP IQ includes features such as:

  1. Contextual assistance through text and voice inputs
  2. File analysis for summaries and insights
  3. Persistent note-taking and knowledge organization
  4. AI-powered meeting assistance

HP IQ can be managed via the HP Workforce Experience Platform and integrated with enterprise tools such as Microsoft Intune.

Seamless Device Collaboration with NearSense
HP also introduced HP NearSense, a spatial intelligence technology that enables devices to discover and connect with each other in real time. The feature allows users to:

  1. Instantly share files between nearby PCs
  2. Join meetings with a single click
  3. Transition work seamlessly across devices

HP plans to extend NearSense capabilities across its broader ecosystem, including conferencing, printing and peripherals.

Next-Generation AI PCs for Hybrid Work
Among the new hardware launches, HP unveiled the EliteBook 6 G2q, a next-generation AI PC built for mobile professionals and hybrid work environments. The device features:

  4. Advanced built-in security, including intrusion detection and endpoint protection

HP said it is working with more than 100 software partners to leverage on-device AI capabilities.

Security was a major focus of the event, with HP introducing new hardware-enforced protections. Key announcements include:

  1. HP TPM Guard, designed to prevent physical attacks on encryption systems
  2. Expanded HP Wolf Security capabilities to reduce cyber risks and operational complexity

The company also emphasized readiness for emerging threats, including quantum-resistant security measures.

AI-Powered Printing and Document Workflows
HP expanded its print portfolio with the LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 and Enterprise 5000/6000 series, targeting businesses undergoing digital transformation. The new printers combine:

  1. AI-powered document processing
  2. Enhanced scanning and OCR capabilities
  3. Quantum-resistant security

HP said the enterprise models can reduce manual document processing time by up to 50%.

Workstations Built for Advanced AI Workloads
For high-performance computing needs, HP introduced a new generation of Z Workstations, including the Z8 Fury, designed for demanding AI, simulation and visual effects workloads. The company also unveiled innovations such as a chassis expansion panel to support larger GPUs and improve scalability.

Expanding AI-Driven IT Management
HP is also enhancing its Workforce Experience Platform with AI-driven insights, automation and sustainability tracking tools. Updates include:

  1. AI-generated remediation recommendations
  2. Advanced telemetry and reporting
  3. Integration with collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams
  4. Blending Work and Play with AI Gaming Enhancements

Extending its AI strategy beyond enterprise, HP showcased new gaming systems under its OMEN brand, featuring high-performance hardware and AI-driven optimization tools. These include:

  1. The OMEN MAX 45L and OMEN 35L gaming desktops
  2. AI-powered performance tuning across popular games
  3. Enhanced content creation and personalization tools

With its latest announcements, HP is positioning AI as the foundation of future work environments—spanning devices, security, collaboration and performance—while aiming to deliver seamless, connected experiences across its ecosystem.
