Cloudera will showcase its data and AI capabilities at GITEX Global 2026, highlighting how organisations can address data governance challenges and accelerate the adoption of sovereign AI across the UAE.
As businesses across the Middle East expand their use of artificial intelligence, access to secure, well-governed and reliable data is becoming increasingly important. Organisations handling sensitive information must also consider where their AI workloads operate and how data is managed across public cloud, private cloud and on-premises environments.
The UAE’s focus on sovereign AI and secure digital infrastructure is driving demand for cloud technologies that give organisations greater control over their data. The country’s cloud computing market is projected to reach US$23 billion by 2032, supported by government initiatives encouraging sovereign cloud adoption, particularly across the public sector.
Enterprises are also adopting data sovereignty strategies, with some looking to move AI workloads from public cloud environments to private cloud or on-premises infrastructure. However, such transitions can expose limitations in legacy systems, where valuable information remains fragmented across isolated data silos.
Cloudera’s recent Data Readiness Index highlights the scale of the challenge. While 91% of IT leaders across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) expressed confidence in their organisation’s data, only 26% said it was fully governed.
To address these challenges, Cloudera is introducing Cloudera Anywhere Cloud, a modular hybrid platform designed to help enterprises manage data and AI workloads across different environments, including those supporting agentic AI deployments.
Ahmad Shakora, Group Vice President, Cloudera Middle East, said, “Our participation at GITEX Global 2026 comes at a time when organisations are looking more closely at how they manage data and deploy AI. Our work with global technology providers and regional partners reflects the different requirements businesses face, from accessing AI models to managing data across hybrid and sovereign environments.”
Cloudera is also expanding its regional technology ecosystem through strategic alliances, including its partnership with Mistral AI. These collaborations are intended to help organisations establish the hybrid data foundations required to deploy enterprise AI applications at scale.
Supported by Cloudera Anywhere Cloud, the company’s approach aims to provide Middle Eastern organisations with a secure, locally controlled platform for deploying advanced AI while maintaining greater independence over their data and infrastructure.
At GITEX Global 2026, Cloudera will demonstrate its solutions at stand H15-E40 in Hall S15. Live demonstrations will focus on how enterprises can address data governance and infrastructure challenges while deploying AI securely within their own environments.
