Tenable Launches Hexa AI To Boost Security Productivity

Tenable has introduced Tenable Hexa AI, a new agentic AI engine within its Tenable One Exposure Management Platform, designed to automate security workflows and convert exposure intelligence into coordinated action aimed at reducing cyber risk.

The launch comes as organisations face a surge in AI-driven cyber threats, faster vulnerability discovery cycles and a rapidly expanding attack surface driven by widespread adoption of AI tools. Security operations are also becoming more complex, with human teams, automated systems and AI agents operating across fragmented environments. This growing complexity is making it increasingly difficult to coordinate responses, often leaving organisations stuck in reactive security models.

Tenable Hexa AI serves as the orchestration layer within the Tenable One platform, enabling organisations to act on exposure data more effectively. Built on Tenable’s Exposure Data Fabric, which aggregates contextualised exposure data and intelligence, the engine maps relationships between vulnerabilities, identities, assets, configurations and AI systems across the attack surface. This contextual understanding allows it to prioritise risks, validate real-time environments and coordinate remediation actions, enabling a shift toward proactive, machine-speed risk reduction.

“There has never been a greater need to have an agentic system preemptively fixing issues before they are exploited. As AI-based attacks accelerate, the window from discovery to exploitation has effectively vanished,” said Eric Doerr, Chief Product Officer at Tenable. “Tenable Hexa AI marries an agentic orchestration engine to the powerful contextual exposure data fabric of Tenable One, automating complex tasks and orchestrating fixes across the enterprise, neutralizing exposures before they’re exploited.”

“Tenable Hexa AI has fundamentally shifted how we deploy our security resources, powering and scaling efficiency across workflows,” said Tarek Houni, Head of Exposure Management at a French-based international manufacturing company. “Reclaiming two days a month on a single process like asset tagging is a massive win for our team. That is two days our team no longer spends on tedious upkeep, and can instead redirect entirely toward investigating exposures, closing critical gaps, and actively reducing our organizational risk.”

The solution reflects a broader shift toward exposure management as organisations seek more effective ways to manage cyber risk across increasingly complex environments. The Tenable One platform enables security teams to identify, prioritise and address exposures across IT, cloud, identity, AI systems and cyber-physical infrastructure.

As part of this platform, Tenable Hexa AI introduces several key capabilities, including an agentic orchestration engine that coordinates multi-step workflows at machine speed using contextual data. It also enables automated workflows across IT, cloud, identity, operational technology and AI environments, helping teams accelerate the path from detection to remediation.

The platform supports both custom-built agents tailored to specific organisational environments and pre-configured agents designed to handle repeatable tasks such as asset management, reporting and system health checks. These features are intended to reduce operational overhead while improving efficiency and strengthening exposure management outcomes.

Tenable Hexa AI is currently available through a private programme for select customers and partners, with broader general availability expected later this year.
