Cloudera and Muroon Explore Hybrid Data and AI Collaboration in Saudi Arabia
Cloudera and Muroon, the technology and digital enablement subsidiary of Tawuniya, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore opportunities for supporting enterprise digital transformation and hybrid data and AI initiatives in Saudi Arabia.
The proposed collaboration will assess how Cloudera’s data, analytics and AI capabilities could complement Muroon’s technology delivery, consulting and implementation expertise across the Tawuniya ecosystem and the wider Saudi market.
A key area of focus will be hybrid cloud architecture and secure data exchange. The companies intend to explore approaches that allow organisations to run data, analytics and AI workloads across private data centres and cloud environments while maintaining consistent governance and security controls.
The initiative reflects the growing importance of hybrid technology environments as organisations seek to adopt AI while managing data across different infrastructure and regulatory requirements. For enterprises, the ability to access and analyse data across multiple environments can be particularly relevant as AI applications become more closely integrated with business operations.
Under the proposed collaboration, Muroon would contribute its consulting, implementation and delivery capabilities, while Cloudera would provide platform expertise, solution architecture and technical enablement.
Ahmad Shakora, General Vice President of META, Cloudera, said the proposed collaboration would combine Cloudera’s hybrid data and AI capabilities with Muroon’s regional implementation expertise.
“Through Cloudera’s ability to bring AI and analytics to data anywhere it resides, combined with Muroon’s deep digital enablement and implementation capabilities, we aim to accelerate innovation, ensure secure data management, and actively contribute to the digital economy goals of Saudi Vision 2030,” Shakora said.

The MoU is intended to establish a framework for exploring potential areas of cooperation, with the companies positioning hybrid data infrastructure, analytics and AI as key components of their proposed approach to enterprise digital transformation in Saudi Arabia.
