Tenable Launches Open-Source AI Exchange to Accelerate Cybersecurity Collaboration

Tenable has unveiled the CyberAgents Exchange, an open-source platform designed to help cybersecurity professionals discover, share and develop AI-powered security tools through a vendor-neutral ecosystem. Billed as the industry’s first cybersecurity-focused AI agent exchange, the initiative aims to foster collaboration while helping organisations respond more effectively to increasingly sophisticated AI-driven cyber threats.
Powered by Tenable, the CyberAgents Exchange serves as a central repository for AI agents, skills, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and multi-agent playbooks, providing security teams with ready-to-use components that can be integrated into existing security operations.
As organisations increasingly adopt AI to strengthen security operations and manage growing volumes of cyber risks, many are developing AI agents independently, resulting in duplicated effort and fragmented innovation. Existing AI marketplaces often cater to broader use cases or are tied to specific vendors, making it difficult for cybersecurity teams to collaborate or avoid vendor lock-in.
The CyberAgents Exchange addresses these challenges by offering a free, open-source platform built specifically for cybersecurity. The exchange provides transparency into every shared AI component, including details on its creator, development timeline and peer validation, allowing organisations to evaluate and deploy trusted AI capabilities with greater confidence.

The initiative has already attracted support from SentinelOne and Recorded Future, both of which have joined as founding members. The companies will contribute AI agents, integration frameworks and playbooks to help accelerate collective cyber defence through open collaboration.
At launch, the CyberAgents Exchange includes more than 50 open-source AI components, covering a broad range of cybersecurity functions. These include Navi, an AI agent that automates vulnerability management workflows using the Tenable One Vulnerability Management APIs; the SentinelOne Purple AI MCP Server, which enables access to SentinelOne services through any compatible MCP client; the Recorded Future MITRE APT Attack Path Analysis skill, which correlates threat intelligence with live exposure data; SOC-Hunter, an AI-powered threat hunting tool used by Tenable’s own security operations team; and The Hounds Pack, a collection of exposure management playbooks designed to automate risk identification and prioritisation.

The CyberAgents Exchange is available free of charge, with no licensing fees for contributing or using AI agents, enabling organisations, developers and security practitioners to collaborate on the next generation of AI-powered cyber defence.
