“thevoicefactory, an Evolve IP company, immediately recognised the value the new Polycom VVX x50 handsets would deliver to our partners and their customers when we were first introduced to the new range,” commented Paul Harrison, MD at thevoicefactory. “The exceptional levels of advanced audio features and build quality we expect from Polycom, at the very competitive price-points, in association with our market leading Hosted UC platform, make for a very compelling solution offering. Full TVF interop and Integration testing have been conducted successfully and we have started promoting the handsets to ensure our partners are fully ready to take advantage of the initial handset shipments.”

In addition to the sleek new VVX phone series, Polycom Device Management Service for Service Providers (PDMS-SP) is now available. This cloud service streamlines and simplifies provisioning, management and troubleshooting for service providers by integrating extensive capabilities into their own processes and dashboards.

“Based on great feedback from our service provider partners and end customers, Polycom developed the new VVX x50 Series with quality, value, and management in mind,” said Tarun Loomba, executive vice president, Product and Solutions Management at Plantronics. “The new, sleek design delivers a great customer experience with premier audio quality at the right price for partners and customers. By using the same unified communications (UC) software as in previous VVX phones, Service Providers, like 8×8 and TVF, have a simpler and shorter certification process to get to market, and we are seeing this already.”

Along with new VVX x50 Series, Polycom has begun certifying service providers for the new cloud service, PDMS-SP.  This cloud service enables service providers to include Polycom audio device management and analytics into their customer portal experience. Service providers can simplify the audio device lifecycle management process by using Polycom’s cloud service to manage, monitor, and measure the growing complexity of audio devices in organisations. PDMS-SP gives partners the data and information to anticipate and prevent problems from occurring while reducing costs and increasing customer satisfaction.

Polycom will release an API allowing service providers to customise what services and analytics they need from Polycom audio devices used by each customer into their portals. This information is integrated seamlessly into their own workflows and dashboards allowing service providers to monitor, anticipate, and solve customer problems faster while lowering costs.
