ASRock Rack Launches its First GPU Server with AMD Instinct MI300 Series Accelerators

ASRock Rack has launched several new AMD products today at its booth L0818 at Computex 2024. A highlight is the presentation of the new GPU server 6U8M-GENOA2 powered by the AMD Instinct MI300X Platform, delivering up to 1.5TB HBM3 capacity for low-latency AI processing.

The 6U8M-GENOA2 is ASRock Rack’s latest AI training system powered by AMD EPYC 9004 processors. The 6U rackmount is also the first ASRock Rack system incorporating an AMD Instinct MI300X 8-GPU with Infinity Fabric Links. It provides the hardware foundation for generative AI applications, large language models, and high-performance computing workloads.

“The 6U8M-GENOA2 is a valuable addition to our AMD product family and addresses the surging demand for exceptional compute performance for AI and HPC workloads,” said Weishi Sa, President of ASRock Rack. “We are glad to present it alongside a wide selection of our AMD products today here at Computex.”

ASRock Rack also introduces the 1U12E-GENOA/EVAC, an all-flash server, and the 1U12L4E-GENOA/2Q storage server. Both support AMD EPYC 9004 processors and are on display at the ASRock Rack booth L0818. Visitors can also see a variety of ASRock Rack server systems for new AMD EPYC 4004 processors, as well as the latest ASRock Rack servers supporting the AMD EPYC 8004 and AMD EPYC 9004.

Besides a selection of GPU, storage, and multinode servers supporting AMD CPUs, ASRock Rack also showcases its latest motherboards and other products. In addition to 19-inch rack servers, for example, this also includes several Open Compute Project (OCP) solutions. The ASRock Rack booth L0818 is next to the presence of ASRock and ASRock Industrial in hall 1 (TaiNEX 1) AI Computing & System Integration.
