Epicor Names Vaibhav Vohra as New CEO, Succeeding Steve Murphy

Epicor has named Vaibhav Vohra as its next Chief Executive Officer, with the leadership change set to take effect on October 1, 2026.

Vohra will succeed Steve Murphy, who will step down as CEO at the end of Epicor’s fiscal year on September 30. Murphy will remain on the company’s Board of Directors.

The appointment follows a succession process led by Epicor’s Board that began with Vohra’s appointment as President in October 2024. The company said Murphy and Vohra will work together through the transition to maintain continuity for customers, employees and partners.

“Vaibhav is a proven leader with deep experience in enterprise software, and I am confident he is the right person to lead Epicor into its next chapter,” said Jeff Hawn, Chair of Epicor’s Board of Directors. “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Steve for his outstanding leadership at Epicor and the strong foundation he leaves in place.”

Vohra joined Epicor in 2021 as Chief Product Officer and subsequently moved into broader leadership roles. He currently serves as President and Chief Product and Technology Officer, overseeing product strategy, development, management and design. His tenure has also included work on Epicor’s cloud, AI and data supply chain strategy.

Before joining Epicor, Vohra held product leadership positions at Gecko Robotics and executive product roles at SAP, where he worked on building and scaling technology businesses.

“I am honored to lead Epicor as we enter a new era of transformation across enterprise software. Over the past five years, I’ve seen firsthand the people, customers, and partners that make this company special. Our focus remains on helping our customers grow and succeed in an increasingly dynamic world,” said Vaibhav Vohra. “I want to thank Steve for his exceptional leadership and for all he has done to position Epicor for continued success.”

During Murphy’s tenure, Epicor expanded its SaaS-based enterprise resource planning business, accelerated its shift towards a cloud-first model and invested in product development and strategic acquisitions. The company also surpassed $1 billion in annual recurring revenue.

“It has been a privilege to serve Epicor and the talented team behind it,” said Steve Murphy. “We’ve sharpened Epicor’s focus on the customers and industries we serve, and I’m proud of what this team has accomplished. With the company performing well and a clear strategy in place, this is the right time for a change. Vaibhav has been instrumental in shaping our product and technology direction, and he is the right leader for what comes next.”
