ASUS has announced the GCC availability of the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2, a convertible notebook designed to address the changing requirements of students and modern learning environments with a combination of AI-ready performance, flexible form factors, security and durability.
The device is powered by up to the latest Intel Core 7 Series 3 processor, featuring a built-in NPU delivering up to 17 TOPS, alongside Intel Graphics. The configuration is designed to support AI-powered productivity workloads while providing the performance required for research, collaboration, content creation and everyday computing.

“Students today need a high-performing device for their studies, and the ASUS ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 strikes the right balance of performance, portability and flexibility,” said Tolga Özdil, Regional Commercial Director, META at ASUS. “We are seeing AI being a core part of school curricula in the Middle East, and ASUS wants to ensure they have the right technology to support this.”
The ExpertBook B5 Flip G2’s 360-degree hinge allows it to operate in laptop, tablet, tent and display modes, giving students and educators greater flexibility across different learning scenarios. The optional garaged stylus also enables handwritten note-taking, annotation and diagram creation, complementing conventional keyboard-based workflows.
Portability is another focus, with the 14-inch device weighing 1.34kg and measuring just 14.9mm thick. Its aluminium chassis comes in a Gentle Gray finish, while the 14-inch NanoEdge display offers an 84% screen-to-body ratio and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The panel provides up to 400 nits of brightness and TÜV Rheinland-certified eye-care technology, with an optional touchscreen available for more interactive workflows.
Connectivity is designed to support a range of peripherals and classroom or workplace setups. The notebook includes two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, HDMI 2.1, two USB-A ports and a combined headphone and microphone jack, giving users flexibility when connecting external displays, storage and other accessories.
For education environments where devices need to withstand frequent movement and daily use, the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 meets MIL-STD 810H durability standards. ASUS has also reinforced the hinges and I/O ports and incorporated a spill-resistant keyboard to improve resilience against common everyday incidents.
Security is another key consideration. The fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button enables biometric authentication, while the physical webcam shield provides a simple hardware-based privacy measure. Together with its enterprise-grade security features, the device is designed to help protect users and their data.
ASUS has also considered sustainability in the construction of the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2, incorporating recycled materials while focusing on long-term reliability. This approach is intended to extend device usability while reducing the environmental impact associated with hardware replacement.
With AI becoming increasingly integrated into education and digital learning environments across the Middle East, the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 combines convertible functionality, localised AI processing, security and durability in a form factor aimed at the next generation of learners.
