Core42 and UAE Cybersecurity Council Sign MoU on Sovereign AI Cloud

Core42, a G42 company focused on cloud and AI infrastructure, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC) to support the development of Signature Sovereign AI Cloud in the UAE. The agreement was signed during GISEC Global 2026 in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, and Talal M. Al Kaissi, Chief Executive Officer of Core42.

Under the agreement, Core42 and the CSC will work on applying Core42’s Signature Private Cloud capabilities to AI infrastructure and environments designed to address UAE data sovereignty and security requirements. The initiative is aimed at government entities and regulated organisations that require greater control over data, infrastructure and cloud operations when deploying AI and other critical workloads.

Signature Sovereign AI Cloud is intended to support Secret and Top-Secret cloud and AI workloads. Core42 and the CSC will work together to define how the platform can address specific UAE security and sovereignty requirements.

The MoU also includes cooperation in areas such as cybersecurity knowledge exchange, threat awareness, technical engagement and preparedness. Planned activities may include workshops, working sessions, conferences, educational visits and training programmes covering emerging cyber risks and the resilience of ICT and sovereign cloud environments.

Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, said, “As AI becomes part of critical government operations, cybersecurity and the ability to run on approved sovereign infrastructure must be considered from the beginning. Our role is to ensure these technologies are adopted within frameworks that protect national data, strengthen resilience and maintain trust. Working with Core42 allows us to bring that perspective directly into the development of sovereign AI cloud environments.”
